It’s the early years of the Federation/Klingon peace treaty. There are those on both sides that would rather go to war than maintain the peace that Chancellor Azetbur and Captain James T Kirk managed to save in 2293.

The Romulans who have been a minor player in galactic affairs for the last 30 years have started to reappear and become a major player. Armed with new ships and more powerful weapons they have a plan to tip the balance of power in their favour.

The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A has been decommissioned, her successor the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-B has been launched, with the sides being drawn and the prospect of war looming over them, the Federation has to take deceive action if the Alpha Quadrant is to remain stable.

2393  even my futuristic RPG wouldn't have taken place yet ;)

Are you using Harriman as the CO of Ent-B?

Date corrected, a little typo.

As for Harriman as the Captain of the Enterprise, that has yet to be decided on.

He could've been dismissed after Kirk DIED on Harriman's ship!

Well, I think that a captian would not be demoted nor removed from a ship because of events beyond his control. It is logical to say that he would be the captain still.

The only reason why I have yet to decide on this issue is due to the fact of voice acting. I know alot of fans out there have a problem with non-canon like alot do with kitbashes.

So I have yet to decide which move I will take. The same is to be said with the Romulans as I posted in another thread a few days ago.

Also on the storyline, I tried to keep it as vague as possible to not give anything away. As why spoil it for you guys. ;)

Yesteryears Campaign

Here is where I will discuss or ask for advice/suggestions on the campaign. I don't want to let too much out here as I want to keep some surprises for you guys.

Right now I have a general idea on what each races campaign will be. But for the moment the Federation campaign has my attention.

Everyone knows the first mission will be the battle scene from ST7 right? Where you have to defeat Chang who has a Bird of Prey that can fire while cloaked.

The first 2 missions of the Federation campaign don't have a lot to do with the general storyline, its more to get the player settled in with the mod.

With mission 2 there will be a race you fight that you won't see again in the mod, well there may be a ship or two here and there but thats it.

Oh I forgot to mention that the storyline deals with why the Romulans go into a non-contact mode and don't re-appear again until the 2340's when the Enterprise-C recieves a distress call from a Klingon outpost under attack from Romulan forces.

Perhaps Mission Two could be a skirmish between the Enterprise (B), a couple of escorts and some Orion Pirates/Gorn/Tholians?

hmm , or a little fight with the romulans ;) . the alliance would not do them any good ( uneasy yeah but they want both klingons and federations fightin ) . say a federation convoy to a klingon outpost is ambushed by romulans , u must get the convoy there while avoidin enemy attacks ( u wont have the ships to fight all the battles ! ) ,

Paul your a clever man. The campaign is about how fragile the newly formed alliance between the Klingons and Federation is and how the Romulans want to end it due to the balance of power not being in their favour.

The story also shows how the Romulans go into exile for the second time. (First time is between the end of the Earth/Romulan wars up until the Balance of Terror episode in TOS).

;) . nothin like a ambush :D . and the romulans are perfect for it ( they developed the cloaks , they know how to move with stealth and strike hard ) . the klingons would hate the romulans as usual but they would have a hard time finding them like the federation would .

the romulans are powerful yeah , but they would need allies in this ;) . a unknown 4th party ( orians or cardassians ? ) might be needed

Lets just say I have found some really nice textured ships for the enemy that is causing the trouble. ;)

Hmm... The Tomed incident, maybe? (I'm reading a book about it right now.)

Chiletrek and I just got this potentially wonderful idea... Make the Kobayashi Maru scenario your final Federation Mission.

Interesting. May not be the final mission but I may include it. Just need to do some thinking.

These ideas all sound great, I can't wait to play this game. Maybe we could change the name to Star Trek: Armada 3: YesterYears. :Y

If you can get a voice actor to sound like or similar to Capt. Harriman, I believe he should remain Capt. Now, in the end of the Campaign do we get to see Ent-C be built, while Ent-B is (destroyed/decomminsioned)

In this mod, there is no Ent-C. This takes place way before the C is a glimmer in Gene's eye.
