Yesteryears Romulan Texture Choice

I would like opinions on this. Which version would you like to see. Version 1 or Version 2.



Note: That whichever is chosen will effect which ships are used in the mod. I am trying to see if someone an itbash the textures of the grenn onto some of the other version 2 style ships but I have yet to find anyone to put their hand up at a2files.

I would say the grey. It fit's more to the TMP era.

I agree with you there mate. I am still undecided on which way I will go. I see Syf's point on how version 2 looks more like a TMP era vessel but version 1 looks much better.

I say version 1. Version 2 looks like something i'd expect to find on a starfleet ship.

I like parts off of both of them. I would say a mixture of the two would look cool. But it is hard to explain what I mean exactly.

Well, even though this is a TMP mod, and green romulan ships did not appear in the screen (T.V. or movies) until the TNG/DS9/VOY and Nemesis era. I guess you should use green ships for the romulans, since it looks like people are stuck on "romulan ships should be green".

I guess it doen't need to feel canon, as long as it's a decent mod.

Yeah I am undecided still. I may end up completing the other races before I tackle this subject. There are pro and cons against both of them.

The ships I really want have the grey textures, but the green ones do look really good. Also the Romulan stations and non-combat ships I have are already green.

I like Crazyfrogs idea of having them have a mixture of both, but unfortunially I don't have the necessary skills. I am also not sure what they will turn out like.

And also the mod takes place between TMP movies and TNG. Romulan ships weren't seen in TMP movies so it is not known when the Romulans adopted the green hulls.
