X-Men Origins: Wolverine has just been released and there is an extra scene after the end credits.

Wolverine is pretty good.

Ahh thanks for that, I likely wouldn't have left until I saw the credits end anyway, especially after the third X-Men, but it's still nice to know there's something to look forward to.

I'm a huge X-Men fan but I really hate everything that has been done with the films after X2.

Wolverine isn't a terrible picture imo, some of the action is pretty good. However many of the characters have been ruined: Deadpool, Sabretooth the biggest problems. Other characters are completely unnecessary: Emma Frost, Gambit, Beak, Cyclops.

Some of my general complaints:
Prepubescent and needless Emma Frost instead of the uber villainess Claremont gave us in Dark Phoenix Saga?
Gambit there just for the sake of saying: hey there's Gambit!
Cyclops (My favorite X-Man) just there because people were angry about his atrocious death in X3 (JUst bring him back in X4 already!)
Deadpool becoming Waepon XI = Am what???

Also the movie breaks continuity with the first 2 movies:
Sabretooth and Wolverine didn't know each other in X1, even if Wolverine can't remember, Sabretooth would most definately remember his own freaking brother somewhere in X1.
Cyclops didn't know Wolverine in X1, yet Wolverine rescued him and the children from Alkali Lake.
Cyclops never went to Alkali Lake before X2 and neither had Xavier who used his "sources" to find out about the base there and told Wolverine about it so he could search it (End of X1).

At least it wasn't the abomination X3 was, but still pretty weak compared to the first two. Hugh is still awesome though, especially now with Wolverine in full blow rage mode.

To Australian viewers:
David and Margaret in At The Movies were not too impressed by X-Men Origins: Wolverine with David giving it 2 1/2 stars and Margaret 3.

Ben McEachen in the Sydney Sunday Telegraph gave it four stars. In the last sentence of his review he writes:
"On the surface, Wolverine is an action-packed superhero flick but, on another level, it raises philosophical questions about ethics, morality and nature vs nurture."

If you will remember Cyclops had a blind fold on the Entire Time.
Charles never went to Alkali Lake the Final Portion of the Movie was on Three Mile Island.

As for Wolverine and Sabertooth, you can seen in X1 that Sabertooth Does know Logan as do to his reactions to him at the Start and Various parts of the movie.

As for everything Else remember that the Producers Bought full Rights to the Characters and Names of the X-men there for they also bought the full stories this said they changes a lot of the History around to fit into the Movies. If one will remember Rouge and Gambit are they same age in the Conics as well as The Only Character not in the same age group in the Comics and Cartoons where Jubilee and Logan, one a Kid and the Other older than Charles, All in all this movie like the Rest of Remakes, (of others works to make them modern) was a Great addition in my mind to Keeping the Classics alive and Full for the next Gen of readers and Viewers.

Hey Jason,

My problem isn't so much as that they don't follow the comics, I fully get that and even enjoy it as far as what Bryan Singer did with the first 2 films. My problem is that the movie breaks continuity with the movies themselves when supposedly is supposed to be a prequel to them.

It was a passable action flick imo, certainly much better and entertaning than the aberration of X3, but it broke continuity with the previous films and completed obliterated key characters who were there just for the sake of being there.

In particular of note even one of the film's most important characters has a screen time of 5-10 mins and is completely wasted with what they did with him: Deadpool.

Just my two cents
