While I am likely considered to be one of the least active on this forum as of late. I will make mention that I kinda have been experiencing everyone's loosing sense of continuing with existing Star Trek games. Even Fleet Operations got boring for me.
Lately I have been I guess you could call power-playing on a game called World of Tanks. While I don't have expectations others would like the game. I appreciate the fact its an online game based on strategy using real and concept vehicles of a previous time. And all in all I love the game. It kind of reminds me of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Dominion Wars a little bit having to strategically recon and attack the enemy except you are only in one vehicle at a time.
There is a lot of variety and they are soon going to expand the game again. While there are some that pay-to-win. Its free to play and you can easily push your way to the top ranks without spending a dime. There are dozens upon dozens of tanks you can choose from all with different modules you can choose to customize how it works in battle. You have five major classes: Light Tanks (Primarily for Scouting and spotting enemies; great for those who want to out-maneuver players), Medium Tanks (Overall balanced approach; heavy hitters with decent speed but not specialized one way or another), Heavy Tanks (Sluggish but has lots of health and decent armor allowing you to 'tank' against other tanks), Tank Destroyers (Seldom good armor, great sniping, many are low-profile), Self-Propelled Guns (Artillery, good for players who prefer to sit back and fire the enemy from a great distance away. Very few master the SPG because its playing style is so different from all the others).
The game is international, you have Europe, North America, Russia, and other regions making a great sum of the players. Its available in a variety of languages including English, Spanish, German, French, Russian, and others. Hopefully... if anyone else is ever interested, we could maybe form a regularly playing community on the game.
