• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Now see, this is what makes Sigma so much more original and creative than most other mods out there! Brilliant work TUN, really great stuff

Really looking forward to seeing what other wildlife you come up with :)

This is more brilliance from an already brilliant modder! TUN, I am more and more impressed with your talents and abilities every day. It is really too bad PC and console gaming seem to be winding down some. Sigma is easily superior to some badly over priced and over hyped commercially available games. I can only wonder what you'd accomplish with the backing and resources of a professional game design studio. Wrote it. Meant it.

BTW, I've often wondered why there was no such thing as wildlife in A2, given the number of times in Star Trek there have been episodes and films centered around space based life forms of unimaginable power.

It really is a missed opportunity that A1 and A2 never featured some of the creatures that showed up in TNG. The Crystalline Entity is probably the most notable creature (though I think there was a really well done mod for A2 that added them in). Birth of the Federation featured wandering space creatures at times though they were so few in number that they did not really stand out I suppose. It would be cool to see things like Juniors, Gomtu, Calamarians, Farpoint creatures, and pretty much the other bajillion gas clouds that have been in Trek show up in A2.

Really not sure how to respond to the brilliance comments. I just have no life is all.

Easily. By being yourself as you've been from the start. How pleasant to meet someone online who is not so busy listening to themselves shout about how awesome they are to the rest of us that they cannot hear at all when others are speaking to them. Not nearly enough people online who prefer to let their accomplishments say what needs to be said. And it always seems the ones whom shout the loudest are the ones who've accomplished the least as far as contributing in a positive way to the A2 Community. Maybe a few more of us could follow your most excellent example here and make the Web a slightly better place.

Hello:
I like very much the idea of random creatures been added, because that sure add a more authentic feel to the game, so I applaud what you have done for Sigma .

And those Spook thingies must be one of the most original concepts done for the game, I like that very much.

Keep it up!

Thank you so much. Those freaky rings showed up in nightmares I had when I was a little kid after watching UFO documentaries. Their image has stuck with me all these years and I'm glad I found a use for them.

Stunning. I am in awe of your talents and skills. I find Sigma to be a delight and joy to play. And still you continue to improve something which is already professional grade work. I can only stand by in helpless wonder at what new magicks you'll show us in the future. Please keep it up. And thank you so much for what you've shared with us so far.

This is really very impressive - TUN, you have a fantastically vivid imagination and an unparalleled ability to take these ideas you come up with and give them (digital) life.

I guess I am in the minority, as I have never played Sigma (I really don't get the time for gaming these days...) - but I am massively impressed by your quality and quantity of work.

I really wish I had your ability to follow through and complete my ideas... I wish I had your ideas too...

I haven't played it either DinoJR, as I can only find the demo on A2Files, it only has some two races. I would rather wait to a more complete version with all the races that have been outline in the player race thread here becomes available. :)

Bwah I just watch TMP too much.
In seriousness though I again am not sure how to respond to that. I just do whatever I can in my free time and hope it ends up looking cool. I'm becoming a brain dead zombie because of it.
