Well lets all face it, Halo is a pretty popular game series, a game series that made the Xbox so successful in my humble opinion. Considering Halo Anniversary is coming up at the end of the year and Halo 4 I believe next year I thought this might be a fun poll.

So which was Your Fav Halo Game? Which one did you have the most fun in?

I loved Halo Wars; mainly because it was an RTS that worked well on the console.

The only reason I played beyond Halo 1 was for the story. Shooters bore me, and to be honest aside from the setting, stories and graphics every game in the genre is identical.

2 and 3 were okay, but only because of the story. Same with ODST and Reach; if they weren't in the Haloverse I doubt I would have bothered with them.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and add my 2 cents.

Honestly, I was never really a Halo fan, probably because I have grown up with a Playstation and been a bit of a loyal Sony customer, in saying that, I have played through Combat Evolved (on PC), which I enjoyed, and also have played a fair bit of Halo 2 co-op at a friends place.

There is no doubt in my mind that Halo was the flagship title gave the Xbox its place in the market today. While not being a fan, I can still admit to the fact it had great gameplay, great multiplayer features and it scrubs up fairly nicely in the visual department :p

My opinion may be discredited because I have only played the first two games however :p

Reach was definitely my favorite. I haven't played ODST or Halo Wars, but Reach really refined the gameplay from the main trilogy, removing features that didn't work as well as they had hoped like dual wield, and fixing 3's equipment system to be more intuitive. That and fighting Skirmishers is a lot of fun.:p

I never played reach, but I probably should. I enjoyed 3, but I liked 2 better. Since I never owned any of them, I have to say that 1 was my favorite. I don't know why, it just seemed like such a great game for its time. A close call between 1 and 2 though.

I dislike the removal of duel needlers in 3.:yuck: That was my favorite weapon set besides the sword.;) I do pretty well with a shotgun, and those machine pistols too, but needlers were my first love.

They all brought something new to the series, Halo 1 was revolutionary for it's time, a real landmark. I enjoyed all the games very much but ultimately chose Reach for two simple factors. The first was I had the most fun with Reach, playing online and offline and with family and even made a new friend through it. Second reason why, is because it covered a topic we had wondered about since the opening scenes of Halo 1.

I chose not to put a all of the above option, for obvious reasons.

The DMR was fun, but I always liked the BR simply because there was always the chance you could get lucky and headshot multiple enemies. It was always so much fun when it happened, lol.

I was a late comer to the xbox and 360 so never played the Halos as they came out. However that said, I played Reach for the first time this year and got hooked. So much so that when I got home I found out my Dads cast off xbox and bought a copy of Halo 2. Must confess I'm not enjoying it as much as Reach. I really don't like the Flood, it just detracts from the gameplay for me. "Oh look being rushed by thousands of balloon like crittas, lets just shoot and shoot and run away and hope they all die before I run out of ammo." That sort of combat just doesnt a good game make in my book, whereas with Reach you have to fight more intelligantly (well, sometimes :lol2: )

The DMR is still my favourite gun, I just wished it could hold more ammo.

I must admit after 10 years of fighting the flood I got over it. I always preferred fighting the Covenant, however you'll probably find the earlier games less fun unless you play through the entire game series in order. However Halo Anniversary ( a remake of sorts of Halo 1) is coming out this year, so I would give that a shot. However there is flood. The occasional flood mission is okay however heaps of them do get boring.

The Halo series is how Maj converted me from the PS to the 360, so much so that now I play them more than he does..
I even went so far as to buy my son the new kinect 360 last year and am buying Maj the limited edition star wars 360 this xmas but I think he is more looking forward to the new Halo games he will be able to play on his new 360 :p
Gawd too many 360's in this house! That will be a total of 4 but only 3 working!

I like all the Halo games, however that being said, I've had the most fun online and off with Reach, as Maj said, we even made a new friend out of it online.

I've only ever played 1 and 2 as I don't have a console, and I really wish they had released the others for PC as well.

That said I liked 2 a little more. I think the game play was more refined and we get a lot of story development.

I think my only complaint about the Halo series is the Flood. I mean come on it's basically Flood = Zombies. That did kind of disappoint me when I first played 1; were alien space zombies the best they could come up with?

I hope they keep the Flood out of 4 completely (as I say this I'm thinking, "yeah right; like that'll happen").

I probably would have to say Halo 2 was my favorite. It's one of the few games I know of that was grossly over-hyped and actually exceeded the hype when it came out, at least for me anyway. After finally finishing Reach recently and looking back on them all though I think in terms of single player Halo CE is the best, and Reach has the best multiplayer.
