• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

What next

Whats next for Doctor Who, I mean where can it go from here (I know they have several crossovers planned but to what end.... Cpt Jack in the Sarah Jane Adventures...... lets not go there....). If my memory serves me correct all the good baddies have been used up (Cybermen, Daleks, The Master) all thats left is Davros (but again thats the daleks).

The only thing I can see as the new major plot development (besides Catherine Tate joining the show full time) is that the, The Face of Bo, wasn't refering to the Master, when he told the doctor he wasn't alone.....

Latest I heard is that the Doctor and Donna will travel to Pompeii AD 79 on the eve of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and it was even filmed in Rome:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/news/cult/news/drwho/2007/09/25/49091.shtml

This would not be the first time that a Doctor Who story takes place in that historical setting as Big Finish has done it on audio with Fires of Vulcan featuring the Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Bonnie Langford as Mel. The article does not mention whether this TV episode is an adaptation of that audio story especially since Fires of Vulcan writer Steve Lyons is not one of the writers for the 2008 season. If it does turn out to be an adaptation of Fires of Vulcan then Lyons is likely to get a "Thanks" credit just as there was a "Thanks" credit for Marc Platt when Rise of the Cybermen & Age of Steel were adapted from elements of Platt's Big Finish story Spare Parts.

The Sontarans are back for season 34:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/news/cult/news/drwho/2007/10/02/49473.shtml
"Christopher Ryan, best known for playing super-cool Mike in the classic comedy series The Young Ones, is set for a guest-starring role in an upcoming Series Four [34] adventure.

Ryan will play a Sontaran leader in the story, due to begin filming in the next few weeks.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be appearing in this new Doctor Who," Chris revealed. "The last time I appeared in Doctor Who was in 1986, Colin Baker was the Doctor and I was still a Young One."

The story in question was the Trial Of A Time Lord, where Chris starred as the slug-like Mentor Kiv alongside Trevor Laird, who played Martha's dad in 2007.

If you know your Who lore, the Sontarans will need no introduction. If you're a newer viewer, however, you may not know that the Sontarans are amongst the greatest villains from the classic series of Doctor Who.

A military, warlike species, able to clone vast armies of themselves, the Sontarans are locked into an eternal struggle with their enemies the Rutans."
