I'd like to see a large assortment of new uniforms, for variety. Some more species ships like Lethean etc and most importantly new missions that expand the Fek'Lhri story, add the Hur'Q as a new enemy and perhaps one behind the Fek'Lhri and explores the various non-Klingon species in the KDF like a Gorn Rebellion, Leathean attempts to get equality within the Empire and so on.

I'm with you on that, The Federation side (in STO) really is more and more unlike the Federation we came to know through the various series and various games that came before STO. They are corrupt with Species 8472 influence, they know it and yet to nothing, they go gun-ho and shoot everybody they come across instead of trying to find a diplomatic solution and gave the new Enterprise to one of the most incompetent officers in the fleet and gave DS9 to the other.

New KDF content is suppose to be part of the May update. I don't expect it to be as much as the Fed side, as long as it is at least doubled from the existing amount, it is a step in the right direction. Personally, if they had made STO based on the Typhon Pact books, it would have been much better. You would have had two alliances for PvP purposes, but, multiple factions within those alliances for PvE purposes.

Disappointing news to all KDF fans, the new KDF missions are actually rehashed Federation ones with just altered text. Cryptic again shows us they are up to their same old shotty tricks, the worst game company in history.

CBS really needs to pull their licence and find a company that can do things right rather than all this shortcutting. Ignoring 20%+ of your customers is bad business.

This is getting beyond a joke, this whole expansion is just a PR stunt to try and get new players: "Look we have three full factions you can start at level 1 as your first character."

SOrry about the small rant, not surprised really just a bit disappointed was hoping for at least some new content, yes we haven't seen what else they have, but going by this and their past with the KDF I may as well switch my thinking back to what it was, aka Cryptic sucks and can't make a dual faction game if their life depends on it. Type to look into a new game me thinks.

I have to ask: Is that a screenshot you took personally? I am still im a wait and see mode. If you are playing the content on tribble and took that screenie yourself, then I wonder what other content they changed. I am not trying to be a mouthpiece for Cryptic but, I don't want to jump to conclusions over one screenshot about one mission. They have shown the ability to alter a mission in a way that even though both sides play the same mission, the way they mission is handled is different. I am referring to Rescue Deferi Captives. I hope to have the tribble patched up and check it out soon.

The only difference in the KDF version compared to the FED version is the dialogue/text, the rest is a copy and paste. I too wouldn't be too upset if they made an effort to change the mission like for example the mission Rapier, where you go into the wormhole to save the Fed ships from the Dominion, if they redid it as you go in to take the ship and kill both Federation and Dominion alike then return and fight your way past DS9 and return to Qo'Nos then I'd be happy to have the mission in the KDF line up.

But with just the text changed it just showing me the whole start from level 1 is a PR move to try and get more players, they can now boast that they have 3 factions all can start at level 1 and have mission content up to level 50. It makes me wonder if all the Romulan missions are also going to be done in this way. They say you will be fighting the old regime, sounds a lot like the Federation Romulan missions to me.

I'd like to think positive, but look at Cryptic's record and now this, and just how quiet they are every time they announce something, not telling you the hole truth or omitting facts, they sure picked the right name for their company, they are so Cryptic about everything. Now that wouldn't be an issue if they actually didn't take shortcuts like they have done in the past and so it will seem present.

I guess expecting them to actually do the right thing by their customers is asking too much.

Just fired up atm, annoyed and a little disappointed but not at all surprised. I guess all I can look forward to about the expansion now is the influx of Romulan KDF players that might join our fleet and help us there.

Yeah, that is very disappointing. I do not know who thought that would be a good idea. In my opinion, they could have redone it to where in that particular mission, you are instructed that Imperial Intelligence has intercepted a communique and you are sent to find the Rapier, board it, take the plans to the ship and then destroy it. That would be fitting for a warrior of the Empire. I am eager to know if this will be part of the mission re-alignment they talked about. It seems to me that they are planning on making to where the war between the Federation and Klingon Empire "ends" with endgame. A statement was said that both sides get involved with the Romulan Revolutionists in "Cloaked Intentions" and see that there is more then meets the eye going on. Both sides then begin to question why they are even fighting each other. I think they plan to attempt to ramp up the war for now. Whether the succeed or fail, I believe the "war" will eventually end.

I don't have an issue with the war ending myself, I think for endgame if would be good as it will make the cross faction zones like Defera, New Romulus, Omega Force make sense more. I just would like it that each faction have unique missions as you level up, with replay value like mark and dilithium rewards once you hit endgame.

The Federation has enough missions, there are what 47, 50? Remove the FE from the KDF and Romulan factions (with perhaps the Romulan FE remaining for all factions to tie them in together) and give them unique missions and then flesh out the costume and ship options for them both free and c-store and then we will be all set. They can then focus on endgame which is cross faction.

A little too much to hope for I think.

Personally, I think there are several Fed missions that could have good "how did we get there" or "what is the aftermath" type of missions for the KDF side.

For instance, "Doomsday Machine" could use a "prequel" type mission where you lead a team to acquire the machine. How about a mission where you kidnap Marial Paris? There are potential missions just waiting to be writen.

I agree but the problem is Cryptic is known not to care about doing missions unique for factions anymore, just Endgame fluff. Rather than finishing what they have started, they just move forward and ignore the past. Not very good as they started this story, yet they don't seem interested in concluding it.
