• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Personally, I just like the cold temperatures, the rest is commerce and if you throw my family all in one room they will kill each other.

But I guess there are many people who can enjoy Christmas, hopefully.

Christmas has become over-commercialized. It's supposed to be about the meaning behind the day, not the "how much money retailers can make in 24 days". All you see is Buy, buy, buy! Kids are taught to say "I want, I want, I want".

What ever happened to the real meaning... Has everyone forgotten it? I'm actually saddened by this time of year.

This Chirstmas will be both a blessing and a curse. I'll start with the curse, considering this is going to bring me off my emotional high point that I'm on and the blessing will bring it right back. It's been 10 months since my grandmother passed on and this will be the first Chirstmas without her.

The blessing is that most of my living relatives are in good health. But it is doubly a blessing because the way things look now I will be baptized this sunday, Chirstmas Eve and I can't think of a better time to do it.

But back to Intrepid's question, I love Christmas, I always have and I always will. You see my family doesn't have a lot of money, never has, and I was raised to expect dissapointment. But when Christmas came around I never disappointed, I could always expect to get something I had asked for, I never got everything or even close to everything.

Again I digress, Christmas has become far to commericalized, and politically correct. I get so angry when I see "Happy Holidays".

I've been working on this post for so long I forgot what I was actually going to say. But this is everything in a nutshell.
