• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Upon this day forty four years ago these words

"This is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind. "

For the first time in Human history we left your mark a world not our own and for one short moment the world was one... Humanity no nations at this mile-marker stone event in our shared history mankind watching one man descend down a latter and in to history.

I think everyone of us is sort of inspired by this. When I see this, it means to me that we as a species could achieve so much more. This is the farthest we've ever gotten into space, but it doesn't have to stay this way. Just because we're too busy backstabbing, murdering, exploiting and generally being ***es to each other, doesn't mean it has to stay this way. Just because some dude thinks he is better than another dude, doesn't mean we have to do the same. That should inspire all of us.

This also extends to the Moon Landing. When I watch the images, I see a US flag. But Neil Armstrong said "one giant leap for mankind", not "one giant leap for the part of mankind living in the US". And mankind includes everyone on this little orb, including yours truly. And all of you as well. I hope that one day, this day will be declared not just a national holiday, but a global holiday. To remind us what we are capable of.

So, in this sense, let me wish you a happy happy Moon Landing Day.

(Also, "You should kill us all on sight." Just sayin'. :p)
