Micheal Bay has announced the Shockwave will be a featured villain in the next transformers movie. Lets see if he does to Shockwave as he did with Soundwave.

Personally, I'd like to see the movie series go out with them fighting Unicron.

I would love to see a unicron movie, but I think the Viking robot.(aka unicron), well... I dunno, i just have a feeling that a big planet sized robot with horns would look really cheesy on the big screen.

Though I really want to see what they could do with Hot-Shot, or Blurr. I use to watch Armada a long time ago, so all those bots are my favorite. anything after that was just not very good IMO(until the movies that is)

I heard they replaced Megan Fox after an internal dispute.

But knowing Bay, he'll probably overpopulate the cast with more new bots. So who knows?

Yeah, Fox is a no-go. Personally, after Transformers 2, could care less about Transformers 3, the first one was good though.

Yeah, 2 didn't have the impact that the first one did. The second was choppy and didn't seem to have as much direction as the first. Adding more bots than could be easily kept track of didn't help either.

I liked both the movies. I am also not entirely unhappy Megan Fox will not be in the next one. If you have giant mecha as featured performers, you probably do not need porn star wannabes as well. Sadly, Hollywood has learned they can make money off the Transformers franchise and they will continue to make films until they have sucked all the cash and the quality out of them.

Personally I found Transformers 2 good, perhaps not quite as good as the first but you've got to remember that sequels rarely live up to the original. I feel they can do quite a few more Transformer movies, even with no Megan Fox. She's too plastic for me and not all that good an actor which is the main reason she is there in my opinion. I know the producers and crew have other ideas.

I just hope they either, re-cast the character to another actor or just have some sort of mention of Sam and the girl going their separate ways perhaps because of his collage life or something.

I just hope they don't introduce too many new bots, the Autobots certainly don't need them.

I would like to say that I actually don't notice lens flares very much because my glasses actually create them any time there is a point of light in a dark area. If I walk down the street at night all the street lights will be giving off the big, spiky flares, lol.

The trailer looked pretty good. I have to wonder if the release date is 7th January (my birthday, which would be awesome for me lol) or July 1st. I guess probably July *sigh* otherwise we'd know more by now.

Looks good though. The transformer at the end looked decepticon. But the eyes suggest autobot.

I like the look of this. With any luck, it'll be much improved over number 2 - which felt like they tried to dumb the series down for a mass audience at the expense of plot and such.

Don't think it is a prequel CABAL, for a couple of reasons - firstly why would the reaction to the Autobots and Decepticons have been 'oh, we've got some big guy frozen under Hoover dam' instead of 'you mean the things that invaded Earth from the moon back in the sixties?'

Secondly, the cast list has all of the charactes (sans Megan Fox) - so either some weird Back to the Future thing is going on or we're continuing forward.

As for the bot at the end, my money would be Autobot - the eyes, life Knight said, are a good giveaway - but also the look of the ship and it's cargo reminds me a little of the Ark from generation one.

Well the ship at the end definitely looks like the Ark from the animated serries, it makes sense too as it would'nt be practical to have a giant autobot ship crash land here on Earth without anyone knowing about it....however if the Ark were to have landed on the far side of the moon then it makes for more realism in the storyline. Sorry though for all those who feel new characters are no longer welcome but at this point, as the production crew are going about the storyline like this, it's already a given there will be more new transformers in the movies to come. Magnus, jax, the dinobots, that giant autobot that transforms itself into some kind of outpost or something, and not to mention the insecticons and the other bad guys.

Maybe the bot at the end is Optimus' brother....Ultra Magnus I believe?

Actually(according to the animated serries anyways)magnus only became ultra magnus after he took in the matrix that optimus prime once had and became the new leader of the autobots.

Oops! My bad I was actually thinking of Hot Rod becoming Rodimus Prime after he took in the matrix(sorry it was such a long time ago).

Prime pass it to Ultra Magnus then it was stolen by Galvatron then recoverd bu Hot rod during a fight in unicron

So Prime to Ultra Magnus stolen then recoverd by Hot rod (Rodimus Prime ascension ) then back to Optimus Prime after the hate plage

I think they should start the movie with Sam standing over a grave. The third film could then not only be from the perspective of him coming to terms with the death of his girlfriend, but also, his ability to move on with his life. Would have been a nice spin on things. I fear they're not going to explain her lack of being at all.

From what I've read, they've introduced another four I think. One of which is an Aerial-Bot; something the Autobots have been missing for some time. About time there was someone around to take the fight to Starscream.

It's a sequel, though I'd imagine they're going to pop a few flashbacks in the film.

I was still shocked that the Ferrari Début wasn't that of Hot Rod. I thought it would have matched his style, but no. I guess we're not going to see Hot Rod; I know this third instalment is currently planned as the last (at least as far as Bay is concerned).

I do notice something else too; Jolt - The Blue Car with the Electric Whips in RotF. He's not been mentioned nor seen throughout any of this. Another perfectly good character wasted? No doubt joined the ranks of Barricade as 'Outcasts'. It's a shame.

I love that trailer. It makes the movie look like Skyline or Battle LA. Hopefully it will be better than Skyline as i herd it was terrible.

Well, I've seen that Trailer before, and two things are guaranteed. Optimus is going to annihilate at least two Decepticons in under three seconds.

True, it's a while since that trailer came out. But they aren't so easy to find as most Transformers trailers on Youtube are fake, thus I found that one first yesterday.

Anyway, I've heard some rumours about that Unicron will show up in the movie. But so far it has not been confirmed to be more than just a rumour.
