Hey everyone! I'm having an odd problem with one of the models I'm working on. I have the rear torpedo launchers located further forward on the ship than the forward torpedo launchers, and that's causing problems regarding which torpedoes are launched first. I've tried restricting the firing arc, and that only makes it so that neither torpedo will fire when the model is facing away from its target, and creating two launchers causes both to fire and then have the same problem as restricting the firing arc.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Thanks!

Due to the way the engine works, you may need to relocate the hardpoints if you want to use a single torpedo weapon. However, if you can rotate the rear launcher hardpoints to face backward and restrict the arcs, then you can have one weapon to fire forward and one to fire back (arc restriction is based on hardpoint direction, as I understand it). Rotating hardpoints is tricky, though. There is a guide somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

I've tried that, and the hardpoints are rotated correctly, but it has the problem I mentioned

I don't think this is resolvable. As far as I'm aware, the game will always try to shoot the weapon from the hardpoints closest to the target. If the hardpoint is rotated then the weapon will either not fire (because it's pointing the wrong way) or fire then flip back on itself (because torpedoes are guided).

Any chance you can post a picture of the mesh? we may be able to think up some way of placing the hardpoints so it looks like its firing from the launcher but actually isn't.

I thought restricting the fire arc limited it to the forward arc of the ship, not the hardpoint? - that's always been my experience anyway (B52 tail turret, never really resolved it)
