• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

Now I'm a big fan of the homeworld series so this comes as great news.

THQ who is Relics parent company has bought the rights to the homeworld series from Sierra. Now there can only be one reason for this and that would be a new homeworld game in the near future. hurray for homeworld 3.

Now only if someone would get the license to the Freespace series so I could have a Freespace 3 I would be one happy guy.

This is good news, as far as space-bound RTS' come then Homeworld is, has been, and always will be the king.

Saying that, Sins of a Solar Empire looks quite good; perhaps as a possible response to this they thought of making a sequel.

Still, good new for us Homeworld fans; a new engine to mod :)

That's the best news I've heard in a long time, while I liked Homeworld 2, the first game was in my opinion much better in terms of gameplay and storyline... :excited:

Like you said the 1st one had the better story by far but I really liked HW2's game play a bit better.

Well with luck if HW3 is done by relic we can get a great story with great game play. Like they say "3rd times the lucky charm".
