• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Leslie Nielsen, star of 'Airplane!' and 'Naked Gun,' dead at 84 :(

In November 2010, Nielsen was admitted to a Fort Lauderdale, Florida hospital for pneumonia. On November 28, Doug Nielsen, Nielsen's nephew, announced to the CJOB radio station that Nielsen had died in his sleep around 5:30 p.m. EST, surrounded by family and friends.

from Airplane!

Rumack: I won't deceive you, Mr. Striker. We're running out of time.
Ted Striker: Surely there must be something you can do.
Rumack: I'm doing everything I can... and stop calling me Shirley!

Hello:
Yes, I just read the news as well, some weeks ago I was finally able to see "Police Squad! in color" and it was just awesome, so were the movies he made and I have also seen that he was a great man in real life too.

He surely will be missed... but he would tell me to stop calling him Shirley:lol:... sorry, I couldn't avoid doing that little joke.

Farewell Leslie Nielsen! you'll never be forgotten.

The man is a legend - I loved Airplane, Police Squad, Naked Gun, Repossessed - all of his stuff - one of the funniest men that ever lived - Leslie Nielsen - you shall be missed, he stuck in there too - 84 is a ripe old age, good on him for going on so long!

Rogder, Rodger, and out...

Forbidden Planet was the very first big bucks, sfx laden sci fi movie. It is a true classic and one of my favorite films.
