So what does everyone thing of this one so far?

There's a fair amount of information out about it, which suggests that theres even more theyve kept firmly underwraps (for example, the main characters name is still unknown, and is currently referred to by a codename, 'Starkiller' harking back to the very first drafts of the films).

We've already seen clips of how powerful he is, able to bring a Star Destroyer crashing to the ground with the force by himself (size matters not...) which is impressive, although slightly worrying. That display of power indicates he's more powerful than Vader, and thats doubtful given Anakin/Vader was supposed to be the chosen one of the Force.

Both the actor who voices 'Starkiller' and the writer of the games plot have said that the character is essentially what would have happened had Luke joined Vader in the Trilogy (although obviously set earlier in time since its between episodes 3 and 4).

The game looks pretty impressive, the force powers look amazing and the character arc seems to be in place too, for both of the traditional light side and dark side endings - though what are the odds that the 'canon' ending is lightside, same as with the Jedi Knight games, and the KOTOR games?
boo hiss to the lightside.

On the subject of KotoR, i suggest that people view the trailer before answering this question:

Revan or 'Starkiller' - whose the better Sith?

Incidentally, me and a friend went to Celebration Europe where they showcased the game, and spent a lot of time at that stand talking with the guys representing it. According to them, the new character makes Revan looks like a wuss. Neither one of us believed them lol, so there's my answer:

Revan would take Starkiller in a fight with ease.

looks pretty good though the character seems to carry around a saber and never use it, just use the force to kill people.

Revan would win as he/she can just use force immunity power then cut him up with their light saber

Not sure on the validity of "force immunity" it seems like something lame the developers included for bad players lol (i cant' say i recall unlocking it tbh though. certainly i never used it if i did). Then again, Revan has "force crush" which is even better :)

Ive just played it through on the xbox 360 its good though i cant understant why there is no vs mode for one on one, they went to the trouble of making loads of models from darth maul to obi wan why not give a chance to use them? It would definatly increace the games life span.

i'm in the middle of playing it through lol. work keeps getting in the way :p lol.

Pretty impressed so far. apart from with the purge troopers. they annoy me because they are pretty much immune to force grip and thus cant be thrown hundreds of feet into the air like regular stormtroopers. i find this vexing. therefore, i must destroy them.

And yes, there are other baddies immune to force grip, like rancors and AT-ST's. dont ask me why, since you can grab tie fighters and throw them, and since the second to last level sees you pulling a star destroyer out of orbit!

I've not got the game. I don't own a PS3, nor 360, and my PC won't run it. I have however seen all of the cutscenes, and like what they have done with the storyline.

I'm currently playing through on the hardest difficulty setting... currently on rasmus prime 1 (you return for the second to last level) - i have a new name for the hardest setting that involves lots of cuss words lol.

i intend to get the sith ending in that game though, since i have the light side ending done already

i have learnt something very important in this game...

STAY AWAY FROM THE EDGES!

i will admit i have died a few times, but i have never been killed directly by an Enemy. i have either fallen off the side, accidently jumped off the side or got knocked off the side.

heres a tip: the edges are just as lethal to the bad guys... a good force push, or even force grip and throw over an edge is a good way to get rid of them. its also handy to throw enemies into laser gates and completely vaporise them. especially if your playing through the first "apprentice" level having completed the game.... force repulse, centre of the room equals lots of dead kota militia members. last time they ever ambush me.
