• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

I like many fans were disappointed when Farscape was cancelled many years ago in favour of Stargate and several other factors.

Well there has been a massive fan revival that did get us the movie Peacekeepers Wars and now another revival has been made possible in form of a 10 part webisode which may lead to a full revival of the series.

To find out more and to register for the news letter vivist the following link: Farscape: A Webisode Series | SCIFI.COM

We would love to hear about your views and opinions on both the original cancellation and the new revival right here.

am afraid i've never wept for it, and if it's cancellation was one of the things that kept stargate going then i'd say that was a decent trade (right up until the point they started throwing Farscape folk into SG)

Honest truth i would far rather see something new than drag out that horse for more flogging...

To be honest if I was given a choice between Stargate and Farscape I would have chosen Farscape. I am just happy that it's coming back as Ben Browder, Claudia Black and the others were awesome in the series and it was one of those really original series, far too few of them. Most these days are just spin offs or remakes.

I feel series like Farscape deserve another shot as they were cancelled during their peak and weren't cancelled because of poor rating but management and favouritism.

I'd agree. Although Firefly was always my favourite (and that has gone a similar route with fan pressure getting a movie) but Farscape was original and cool. It would be good to see it come back in some form. And I have to say I like Browder, Claudia not so much, but they had good on-screen Chemistry together. A far far better series than most people give credit.

Farscape was definitely original, and certainly ground breaking... that is certainly creditable... but Browder and Black, sorry "over-rated" springs to mind.

really didn't like seeing them in SG-1, really, honestly think that they could ahve found better folks, and can only assume their presence there was to cash in on the fllowing they had from Farscape...

Indeed, while Browder and Black did a great job in Farscapoe they weren't all that good in Stargate. I did think Browder did well but Claudia Black as Vala, I think Claudia Black does better as tough female characters like she did in Farscape and Pitch Black rather than the character she played in Stargate.

Anyway I do hope this webisode turns into a new series and brings back some of the main characters it not most to the show.

Wow I hadn't heard anything about this! Farscape is the best sci-fi series I've ever seen, barely edging out Firefly and Babylon 5 for top honors. While I think Peacekeeper Wars was a fitting end to the saga, I'm more than thrilled at the possibility of a return of some kind.

I've never seen a webisode so I don't know exactly how these work. I assume they are much lesser budget than regular episodes? Will they eventually be released on DVD also?

In any case I couldn't be happier at the prospect of seeing the old crew together again.
