Just finished watching this. All I can say is that I enjoyed it greatly. Good action/graphics, plot(if you didn't already know how it would go) and acting was MUCH better than the last series. It is a tad darker than the others as well, and a little more scary(I wouldn't describe it as a children's movie.*) and overall "amazing" in my opinion. I definitly recommend seeing it if you like spiderman or thought the previous movies were lacking.

*In case you are wondering, the movie obviously has the killer croc in it, and he is really well done, but as I said, would be scary for younglings. The graphics are very good as well making it a bit gorey when he loses body parts and grows them back. Not bloody, just nasty. I wouldn't say you shouldn't take them, it is spiderman after all, just remember the story does involve a big scary monster. ;)

I really want to see it, a huge Spiderman fan, however I'll probably have to wait till it comes out on DVD, a lot of expenses this month and next including site renewal.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Thankfully I can see some movies at the military base theater, and though its usually freezing cold, a smaller screen, and the picture is usually out of alignment, it costs only $2 per ticket. But sometimes I want to see a movie opening weekend, and so I go to a regular theater where it can easily cost as much as $50 for two people. :cry2: (popcorn, soda, candy, tickets) This one was worth it though. I don't know if it was better than the avengers because it is hard to compare them, but I really really liked it.:D

Something interesting I noticed; if you watch the three trailers after you watched the movie, there is a lot of stuff was left out. It almost seems like, when they made the trailers, they had a completely different goal with the movie. They make it out to be a movie centered around Peter Parker finding out what happened to his parents. Indeed, this is one of the main goals of the movie, but in my opinion, it was simply more about him becoming spider-man than any of that.

Yeah it's about $40 for the two of us if we get drinks and that. This coming month we will be spending over $10,000 so a hugely expensive month. Hopefully it will be worth it for us, then at the end of the year we may be moving house so more expenses.

The first Spider-man from the old trilogy had Peter Parker discovering himself as being Spider-man, I think it's a must for a new re-boot series. I am just glad they haven't copied the previous movies with having the Green Goblin in it, that was the failure of the previous movies imo, they did too much too quickly, like with Mary-Jane discovering Peter Parker as Spider-man, Norman Osborn being killed off and then his son in the 3rd movie being killed off also.

Yeah, they do that much better in this movie. Though I don't think the incident with Curt Conners happened until later, in this movie, Peter doesn't even get a job at the bugle.

Oh, and when that does happen I seriously hope they get J. K. Simmons to do it again.

Actually that's usually how much our tickets are without the extras thrown in (I'm usually the one buying the tickets :p ) With drinks and popcorn for both its usually anywhere from $55-$70

It was a decent enough movie. Some elements I didn't like (for example the change in the origin story with regards to uncle ben's demise), but for the most part a good film. the effects were amazing, and the fights were much more what you would expect from spider-man - its not like the first spider-man film where he swang around a bit, but then did all the fighting on the ground. This was a proper, spidey fight movie, he never stopped moving, he fought in 3 dimensions... truly amazing :)

That said, bring back Jonah, and have him played by J.K. Simmons again, because he was brilliant.
