Began watching the fifth and final season of the show this morning at 7:30am on Cartoon Network.

Homecoming Part 1:
The Teen Titans has a new enemy called The Brain and he appeared in a very Dalek (from Doctor Who) like casing http://www.tangent21.com/data/brain2.jpg . This is definitely not a coincidence as I read in Wikipedia that the producers of the show did mention Doctor Who in interviews about the fifth season.
I was a little baffled by how this episode started with me thinking did I miss something before realising that it took place in Beast Boy's past.
To be honest I did expect the episode to be slightly better but it was still good to see the team again after a long while.
It was very neat in showing Beast Boy's struggle in deciding whether to save his friends and let the Brain escapes or let his friends die in order to stop The Brain. Of course he chose the former option as we definitely be seeing more of The Brain.

Homecoming Part II:
Love it when Beast Boy said "innie minnie minie mo".
This is a very good episode about team work as both Teen Titans and Doom Patrol to fight a common enemy The Brain and the Brotherhood of Evil.
The final scene showing all the people that the Brotherhood have collected in fighting the Teen Titans is staggering.

Trust:
This a very good episode on the issue of trust as Madame Rouge who works for the Brotherhood of Evil disguises herself as Robin for much of the episode.
The (real) Teen Titans have a very limited appearance in this episode and so it is being played out between honourary Titan, Hotspot. Quite a good break from the usual.
This episode plays very well with the Terminator 2 formula with Madame Rouge's liquid metal-like abilities and the scene of Hotspot seeing two Robins.
Quite impressive towards the end with Hotspot's final confrontation with Madame Rouge and the end has a very unexpected twist.

For Real:
For the second time in a row, the Teen Titans makes a very limited appearance in this episode with their place being taken over by Titans East as Control Freak returns. So funny the way Control Freak makes his entrance.
This episode is a bit like Doctor Who: Love and Monsters in which the story is being told from a fan's perspective.
Very enjoyable and very funny how Control Freak gets caught.
Cyborg is seen with snow in the background. Given the name of the next episode this is obviously a clue the environment we next see the Titans in.

Snowblind:
The Titans goes to Russia and meets Red Star.
Red Star because of his abilities has been outcast to the community. It is because of this that Starfire is the one Titan that featured most prominently in this episode as she understands what he is going through.
Quite a shock the origin of the monster they were fighting.
This was a moving tale as it had a very sad but moving ending.

Kole:
Dr Light returns but takes a backseat in this episode.
So funny when Beast Boy turned into a dinosaur to ask some dinosaurs what they wanted and said they wanted to eat them.
Kole of the title refers to a new friend the Titans meet along with her friend Gnarkk (funny when Cyborg mispronounce it as "Narkk".
Also funny when Light was carrying Kole after he captured her.
The ending was a shock as it was a follow-up from the ending of Trust.

Hide and Seek:
Slightly similar to the movie of the same name.
Quite fun seeing Raven looking after three children.
Beast tells the joke about why a cookie went to see a doctor and the answer was that it felt crummy. Not really funny.
The last scene between Raven and the kids was touching and quite a funny last line.

Lightspeed:
For the third time this season the Titans are not involved in the main plot of this episode. In fact they don't turn up at all. This makes this the Teen Titans version of Doctor Who: Mission to the Unknown in which no regulars appeared.
This is why there was an interruption with the title sequence with the HIVE 5 saying this is their show.
The character Jinx in deciding to do what is right as a result of her meeting Kid Flash was developed very nicely.

Revved Up:
I should have known from the title that this was about a car race.
This was quite fun especially with Raven and Starfire making their own way to the finishing line.
The race was cause when the villain called Ding Dong Daddy stole a briefcase that is valuable to Robin. In the end he gets the briefcase back and shows what inside to his friends but not to us the viewers as the episode ends. Hope we get to find out what is in it soon.

Go!:
Shock to see Starfire in the beginning of this episode. In fact at first I thought it was her sister that I was seeing until I realise this is the story of the beginnings of the Teen Titans. Genesis of the Teen Titans.
Probably influenced by the story which told the beginnings of Robin's partner in Batman Begins.
Speaking of whom, Robin says he just gone solo. As with the previous episodes there was no mention of him ever working with Batman before.
As an origins story this was pretty good and it had lots of good moments.

Calling All Titans:
This is the third to last episode of the series and things are now heading to a climax with the Titans and their allies facing a major battle with the Brotherhood of Evil.
After a long absence the Brain makes its menacing return.
Oh my it is quite a battle which leads to an superb cliffhanger.
Can't wait to see how this gets resolved.

Titans Together:
Wow what an amazing conclusion to Calling All Titans.
Things becomes impressive in the middle of the episode as the Titans makes a tremendous fightback against the Brain and the Brotherhood of Evil.
The music including a remix of the theme tune is very good.
Looks like the last we see of the Dalek casing.
As with the others I am not too sure that Beast Boy's pun on Brain freeze was very funny.
The last shot of the episode is brilliant and it would have been fitting for a final episode but it is a shame that this is only the penultimate episode.

Things Change:
The final episode but it is not a good one to end the series.
While it is understandable what this episode was trying to do, it was not fitting for a series finale. To put it simply a terrible way to end a very entertaining and very good show.

Hopefully the feature film Teen Titans: Trouble In Tokyo is much better than Things Change.

Actually, IIRC, it was Dune Patrol and not Doom Patrol. At least, that's what it sounded like to me.
