I have a suspicion that the Kelvin Timeline ships will be excluded as CBS does not own them.

Now now HK, remember that STO does include some real Trek ships, not just Cryptics own ugly sticks for the dogs to chase.
However, my guess given the size is that they'll be in the £100-£150 range, which is a bit much for a plastic model in my little world (and definitely too much for a chew toy)

EDIT
http://www.thetrekcollective.com/2016/09/you-can-soon-3d-print-your-very-own.html#more

As an engineer I am pleased to see how well this technology has advanced, as it appears we can now print detail in multiple colours.
However, as a finished product, that surface finish is really poor quality and needs to be improved - especially as they aren't designed to be painted.

Well, my parents dog will eat anything - even Guineapig poo - except for dog food, unless it's hand fed to her. Spoiled animal.

Just seen a tweet by Star Trek Online, the first lock box for XB1 and PS4 will be a "Cardassian-Dominion Lock Box" in which the top prize will be a choice of Cardassian Keldon class or a Dominion Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier.

I would love to see a playable Keldon in the PC game.

Will this Lock Box be on PC as well?

Nothing said about it. The news post (which ironically is only accessible via the twitter post) only mentioned it being the first lock box for the console versions. The consoles are starting out with only what the PC version had up to Delta Rising. The rest will come later.

Here is the link for the lock box.

Here is the link to what consoles will be launching with.

They invade our systems and we fall back. They assimilate entire consoles and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And *I* will not pay for the crap they have done

I will admit that I have downloaded it but just to check it out. I am just curious at how they got everything set up. I am too invested in the PC version to shift over to the console version.

You and me both. Having to pay for everything again is wrong but not out of character with PWE.

Agreed. It is a real shame Atari couldn't have found a better selling partner. Cryptic wasn't all about the money before PWE.

50th Anniversary giveaway of the TOS pack - only until 5pm pst (I guess they waited until 1701 to kick it out the door)

I didn't think about it that way. Pretty clever actually. As for the giveaway itself, I already had it. I did claim it on my daughter's account though.

Just installed it on my X-Box One and started playing it yesterday. No real clue as to what I'm doing right now, but I'm enjoying myself.

Anyone want to start an MSFC STO Fleet for the X-Box One?

I'm still kind of figuring out what I'm doing. There's not any real up-to-date guide for the console version, so I'm just feeling things out as I'm going along. At Level...13...right now.

Flying a modified Saber-Class, USS John Buford, NCC-70163 (Props if you get the reference). Could get a better ship, but I'm really liking the turning radius on this one.

I'd be happy to help but I can't play right now. I need to get my subscription up to date first.

---------------------------------------------

@Zelph I have my Xbox live sub renewed now. Let me know when you want to see about getting that fleet started. Keep in mind though, I will primarily be a PC player as I have too much invested to switch completely to console.

Sounds good. I'll shoot you a message later tonight when I can get on and figure it our. I believe that we're friends on Xbox Live already?

Awww nuts. It's another 20% ship sale this weekend, just as I was hoping that the new fleet base would drive the dilithium exchange prices down.

I ended up buying the Gemini class from the C-store. May have been a small waste getting a T4 ship but, it is my favorite looking of the temporal ships. I will save up and get the T6 version at a later date.

On a side note, I would love to see Cryptic release a Romulan and Klingon temporal pack that would give the players the TOS Romulan, Klingon, and Gorn ships.

Hi guys, I just got this game on the PS4....which no one seems to have here as all I see is XBOX, lol.

Not bad, I normally despise online games but I'm having fun with this one and my magnificent Warp 5 ship...in the 25th Century...

I actually just got a Connie Refit, upon my promotion to Lieutenant Commander, and I have 3 Kelvin Timeline Lockboxes I'm dying to open to see if I got that version of the Constitution Class, as the game continually taunts me through messaging...PlayerXXX got a Kelvin Timeline Constitution [T6], no, no Joe, you got no zen to buy master keys so keep enjoying traversing the galaxy on your top of the line Warp 5 USS Jalopy...o_O

I'll get those boxes open if I have to take them to a Ferengi safecracker dammit.

Other than that, cool game. My characters are decked out in TMP Wrath of Khan uniforms, very stylish.

Keys can also be found on the exchange for many millions of EC if you're desperate to get them open. You will however pick up lots of lockboxes in your time on STO. Just know that the odds of getting the ship are really low.

Thanks kjc, I'm sure it's unlikely. But I'm telling they're rubbing my nose in it. Last night four more dudes unlocked the ship and two were in German. Ugh.

I got 6 lockboxes currently just collecting dust. I'm gonna try the dilithium exchange thing, when I have enough money. The only interest I have for any kind of zen right now is to open the lockboxes. Outside of that, I'm great playing the base game as is. :D

Those messages appear no matter what lockbox ship is unlocked. And you're right, it works as a way of advertising for lockbox keys.

Better than 600 sitting on an alt dedicated to hoarding lock boxes. And that's pretty much the only thing I spend Zen on nowadays.

Dang, I've only been playing less than a week. And the Kelvin lockboxes are the only ones I've collected thus far. I'll see if I have any luck with that whole dilithium business, if I don't then I'll have to decide whether I want to pay actual money for zen...ugh. And believe me, the second I find the ship, if I do find it, I would not purchase any zen ever again.

Drop rates seem to be heavily weighted to the newest drop box. Finding an older one in random loot is basically a miracle. They're on the exchange, though.
