Ok just finished watching the two hour premier and without spoiling anything here are my first impressions.

Overall I liked it. I found the characters for the most part to be interesting with a fair bit of future potential. Some of the plot had hole you could drive a car threw but I did expect some flaws but for the most part it did not effect my enjoyment of the premier. Now the CGI work is a step up from both SG1 and SGA. The revamped ships looked great.

For an pilot episode I'd give it 4 out of 5.

Just finished watching it myself. Like some of the charaters already others I'm still debating on. Love the ship though.

I also like how they expanded on the ancient design style for both the outside and inside of the ship. You can recognize it as being ancient but it also expands past that in new ways.

It's free on iTunes for the moment, though it might be only for US folks... It's in HD though if you can get it.

Air Parts 1 and 2:
Series opener.
Minor niggle with the credits with SG-1 veterans Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping and Michael Shanks getting credited under the bland 'Guest Starring" label. What no "Special Guest Stars" or "Special Guest Appearances" for them.
The structure of having the story go back and forth between past and present is interesting on the history of the characters and how they ended where they are presently.
Overall the excitement seems minimal although the tragedy of the death of Senator Armstrong was executed well on-screen.
Not a bad cliffhanger.
