• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

There is no pleasing some people

:lol2: Not when I have Klingon blood flowing through my veins. I was thinking of having the D6 in YY, I just haven't done a model for it yet.

I cannot wait to do some interpretive scenes with that ship.

Until Axanar actually comes out and renders my scenes all moot :lol2:

An actual Axanar update today in my emails.

Today we start production on Axanar with a one day shoot that will test our crew, our techniques, our cameras, our VFX, and just about everything else! It is the first shoot ever at Ares Studios, which YOU helped make a reality by donating to our Kickstarter last year.

The scene we are shooting will be released to you our donors first, just before we make it part of our next Kickstarter on July 8th. We promise you will love it. The animatics for this scene are fantastic!

Please follow our website for three big updates at http://www.startrekaxanar.com/.

It looks to have been a scene on Vulcan, featuring Soval and a new Vulcan female character. They'll be using it as part of the new Kickstarter launch next month. Can't wait!

The new crowdfunding launch is tomorrow! Not on Kickstarter though, Alec Peters decided to migrate Axanar over to Indiegogo, which will save them tens of thousands (literally) in fees that Amazon and Kickstarter charge.

Incidentally, the production team has always been fairly dilligent about transparency with spending. However, some trolls have been slamming them lately, making a number of false accusations etc. (I don't know the specifics because I refuse to trudge through the Mos Eisley that is Reddit). Alec and the Anaxar team have released an accounting of the budget spending so far - which they were already planning to do - if any are interested. Worth looking over for the curious: http://www.startrekaxanar.com/axanar-annual-report/

They are doing exceptionally well. Goes to show Trek fans want some quality trek still in the prime universe.

That is most absolutely true Maj.

Now only if Paramount and CBS would take note and Follow their lead.

At least have a prime universe series and keep the AR Trek as the movies. I would be fine with that and they would then be catering to all Trek fan groups.

A Klingon-centric show could be really awesome with a Star Trek meets Game of Thrones vibe. It would probably be really difficult to sell a show where most of the cast had to wear prosthetic makeup, though.

There are always rumours of a new series, sadly they never amount to anything.
But on a lighter note...

10 days in, 23 to go, $255,745 raised, so the target has been met :clap:

13 days in, 21 to go, $269,950 raised (108%).
And for those who haven't seen it, the first scene from Axanar has been publicly released. More ships...

This is going to be good once it is released, I'm glad they were able to get such great actors for this film.

I always found you can have great actors but if the story is not there they are wasted case in point In to darkness. With that said I think this is not the case with this film.

16 days in, 17 days to go, $300,215 raised (120%)... and I suspect we may see a bit of a jump.

George Takei has once again posted about Axanar and now we need your help!

We need EVERYONE to go to the George Takei post on Axanar on Facebook and LIKE, COMMENT, and SHARE. Like every comment you can! Share it everywhere you can.

WHY? Because the more people who take action on this post, the more people Facebook shows it to. George has 8.8 MILLION Likes, but Facebook will only show any given post to about 5% of that until the post shows relevance. They determine this by how popular the post is...how many Likes, Comments and Shares the post has. So every time you do one of these actions, you help more people see George's Support of Axanar and that means MORE DONATIONS!

So PLEASE, start threads within his post, start conversations, post photos. You can reply to any comment now. DO SO AND HELP AXANAR!

https://www.facebook.com/georgehtakei

AND WE ARE GIVING AWAY FREE STUFF FOR HELPING!

So, to start it off, everyone who Likes AND Comments on the photo I put up today on George's thread, which I title AXANERDS, will be entered in a drawing to win an autographed photo of Richard Hatch as Kharn and the rare Starfleet Emergency Response Patch. So go find my photo and LIKE and COMMENT!

The first prize will be given out tonight, with new ones every 12 hours. So stay tuned to our website or the Axanar Fan Page on Facebook for more!
