• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hello there. I am spartan078, i'm 23 years old and like all major sci-fi franchises B5, BSG, ST, SW, Halo etc. i am only into basic odf modding right now perhaps in the future ill get into modeling and texturing

Welcome, when i started modin i was only an odf-er, but now i'm getting into modeling aswell, its good to see a new budding modder here, welcome, i'm sure you will have lots of fun... and hopefuly, learn a few new things too:D

As to your Question. As to why you still can't access the downloads page.

To be eligible to download files, the user must be a participating member of the community and is required to post an introduction thread in the introduction section of the forums and post at least 15 posts of decent size (mass amounts of single or 3 worded posts within a very small time frame will be deleted as this is noted to rapidly increase your post count just to gain access to downloads and is also considered to be spam), be active for 7 days and have made some contribution to the MSFC community and have a reputation count of 30 which can only be gained by other members giving you positive reputation for great posts. No excuses will be accepted for not knowing, because if you are unaware, then you have breached the site rules by not reading and abiding .

Things are set up the way they are because in the past we had far too many people come here solely for the Downloads Section. MSFC is about the Community and the people, not the Downloads Section. We really are glad you're here. We really do want you to be able to get and use some of the really neat stuff in the Downloads Section. But before this occurs, we want you to be a real part of this group. We want to know about you, what you like, what you think or feel about something, what your talents or skills are... And so on. This is a science fiction fan website which has a section catering to those of us who mod games. It is not a gamers' website. And if it turned into a gamers' website, it would lose some of the unique charms and qualities it has. This would be absolutely terrible, IMV.

So pull up a chair and set a spell. Wander the forums. Look at the pics. I especially recommend anything at all done by either Dan1025 or Jetfreak. There are some around here who will tell you my stuff is as good. They are not very accomplished liars, lol. Read some of the fanfics. the Midway RPG is very good and always a cliff hanger. Laugh at some of our jokes and stories. Post in every thread which has something you're interested in and do so with reckless abandon. Express your opinion on anything and everything you find interesting about this place and the things which are here.

In no time at all, you'll have access to the Downloads. And you'll come to realize what the rest of us already do. It is really all about the friendships and sense of Community here at MSFC. The Downloads Section is merely the icing on a very fine cake indeed. Which is not now and has never been a lie.

Welcome! Have a seat and don't bug Syf's and Queenie's drones. The restrooms are right across from Lab 3 and there's a fridge with snacks in the lounge. And whatever you do, don't step in teh kitteh's litter box; you really don't want to have to clean that up.

Yep, the forums are the actual cake part, with us users being the eaters of said cake. I suddenly have a distinct urge to devour my computer...

As part of our rules you must read the site rules when joining, obviously you did not and have already breached our main rule otherwise you would already know why you cannot access the download section. You have now been forced to reread the site rules, if at any time you are unsure about our rules you can click on the navigation bar where it says *Site Rules*
