Been playing this a little of late and thought I would share the characters I have been playing. I rolled a new TOS Fed Science character and found myself enjoying the character enough to develop her further than intended. She now runs the T6 Fleet Daedalus.

I have also been working on my KDF Delta Recruit who is also a science. She is a Borg/Klingon and is currently levelling the 3 T6 Gorn ships.

Plus I have my two most developed characters that sadly haven't seen much action of late due to my interest and enjoyment out of the science classes. Kevaas is my KDF Tactical and Sidra is my KDF Engineer. TBH after playing a queue on Sidra yesterday for Iconian marks I have found playing an engineer again painful. Done a few reskills to try and get a bit more damage out of her. Yet to give her another run though.

I have yet to roll a Jem'Hadar waiting for the bundles to go on sale for the Vanguard species.

My TOS character is also Andorian. He is an Engineer.

I also got the S'torr today from the winter event. Got to say, the quality of their models (regardless of how anyone feels about the designs) have come leaps and bounds from where they started.

I quite like the design for a Fek'lhri ship. Kinda surprised that they made it a cross faction ship considering the Kar'fi was a KDF design.

I have levelled up all 3 Gorn ships finishing today. I am seriously considering getting the Son'a Command Science ship for my KDF science officer. The Gorn ships just don't hold up to the T6 Fleet Fed Daedalus. The amount of exotic damage I can do in that is nuts.

I've not rolled the S'torr yet. Unlocked it a few days ago, but not played with. At the moment, working on a decent tetryon build on the bajoran raider for my KDF Trill alt. My main runs a T6 Defiant which does ok. needs more work, but is basically a 'canon' (not cannon - though that too) build. Got a few others in various states of play. Really should roll back to Jacenius, my one House of M'aj survivor (before it became the IKA) and start developing him further.

My KDF science has just started to use the Son'a ships.
I never grinded up for the S'torr.
What's the Bajoran Raider like? I saw someone in a STF using it the other day.

Been wanting the Reliant class for a while now and thanks to the giveaway mentioned by kjc, I have it. I have claim the pack on my TOS character and here is a look at the ship. Using the Reliant hull and nacelles with the Miranda strut and Saratoga pylons.

I was going for a faux Kelvin Timeline Miranda. I did end up swapping the hull for the Miranda Alpha. I'll post a new screenshot when I get a chance.

As promised. Here is my faux TOS/Kelvin hybrid Miranda:

And, here is my take on a faux Discovery Miranda (S31 variant):

Damn these new STO meshes are really stepping up their game, nice crisp textures on the Galaxy and bump maps on the Miranda.

Yup. Even though some of their in house designs are questionable, their quality sure aren't anymore.

Also of note: they have been getting help from Tobias Richtor (sp?) on some of their models.

Wow Tobias is involved, that's enough of a Trek pedigree as it is.

I hear some of the offshoot variants are a bit bleh though. I think there's an ungodly Sovereign/Galaxy hybrid that looks suspiciously like the Mnemosyne from the SFC3 days.

It looks like they tried their own hands at a Dawnstar and screwed it up. Saucer and Nacelles look nice but the secondary hull is (in my own opinion) atrocious.

I picked up the T6 Malakowski and used parts to create a sort of USS Franklin refit.

I wish that more STO ships had as much inter-compatibility as the Centaur/Miranda/Malakowski seem to.

Yeah, When STO first launched, their customization was touted as one of their strong points. As they built more ships, the customization fell to the wayside. Part of the problem was when Cryptic was a part of Atari, they didn't have the resources they needed. With limited manpower and time, they couldn't do multiple variants of the same ship. That said, they have, from time to time, added a new ship to a ship family to add more customization.

Yeah, this was something I appreciated in my short time playing STO. The customization options were cool, and you could avoid some of the less pleasing designs or at least try to make them look nicer.
