• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

One of my objectives is to create a helpful strategy guide for players that are introduced to Sigma. The idea naturally came from the very well made guide for Fleet Ops courtesy of Dominus_Noctis, and I feel one day I'll eventually move my guide to an online site. Until then, I am packing the Sigma Strategy Guide into a handy and small sized PDF for those interested. The most recent versions will show up here, so stay tuned for updates.

At the moment, I have finished the faction detail section for Sigma's first race: the lovely bloodthirsty race of religious reptiles known as the Zevestivan. It can be downloaded from MSFC here: View attachment Sigma Strategy Guide- The Zevestivan.pdf

The guide provides detailed history, strategy, and tips for all the combat units that players will come to command. Any critique is highly appreciated to help improve this. :thumbsup:

Looks really good, MSFC will be happy to host a sigma site if you ever decide you want to make one. We do have a huge number of sub-domains and only currently use a handful.

Just one suggestion: Try to replace the Arial with something else. This awesome guide needs something better than a lame Helvetica rip-off. If you like, I can recommend you a few free sans-serifs that would fit. :cool:

I'll see if I can find a nice new font. Most of the custom fonts I have don't look as good when the type is so small but I'm sure there's one out there...

You're welcome, it's also part of our mod hosting policy, however most are content with just a forum section, which is of course all good. :)

I personally always use Calibri for my documents, however that is also fairly plan.

That has to do with most of them being ****py display fonts which weren't designed for bodycopy. Take a look at the stuff over at fontsquirrel, a site for designers where you can find most of the good free fonts. :thumbsup:
