Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.
That it would be.That looks cool, its a...warship?
It's a nuclear electric spacecraft with a crew of six. It's about 50 percent propellant by weight when fully loaded, making it capable of round trips out as far as the asteroid belt without refueling. Due to the effects of freefall on a crew, however, it is only flown as far as mars. It's primary combat weapon is it's compliment of eight long range space missiles. It also carries a single megawatt-class near-infrared laser that can be sent through either of it's two 3m lenses, giving it a hard-kill range of several thousand kilometers. It's main engines are four electric plasma rockets grouped into pairs with opposite magnetic field direction so no torque is generated when operating in the earth's magnetic field. Manuvering thrust is provided by a number of bipropellant thrusters scattered across the craft's surface. It is built on a lightweight modular truss structure, which can be reconfigured in an emergency to allow the craft to operate properly with just a single main engine pod. There is no provision for artificial gravity so each crewmember will typically fly just one (long) mission in their career.
Thank you.I must say, and I mean it...wow!
All this work is awesome, I flicked through many of the pages and was amazed by the quality of your work. Should do this professionally if you don't already
