• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Rest In Peace , Dynaverse 3

For anybody that hasn't heard , as of yesterday - August 17th 2007 , Activision has pulled the plug from the Dynaverse 3 servers , which is responsible for hosting one of my personal favorite Trek Games , StarFleet Command III.

I tried logging in a few minutes ago and pretty much got told that I don't have a home anymore...:cry2:

Now what am I supposed to do? All my favorite game servers are getting pulled.

I lost multiplayer support on Arcanum two years ago and now I've lost SFC3. What's next?

It was bound to happen sooner or later, but they should of given the community there some warning even if it was only a couple of weeks.

Its a bit inconsiderate to their customers to just drop it like that with no warning, it will in the long run will damage their image with many SFC 3 fans will no no doubt boycott Activision and refuse to purchase any of their current or future titles.

I'm not going to deny that activity on D3 was a little lacking , but I agree that they should have given us some warning. Bad thing is , I had a TeamBattle planned for Monday. Now the goobers from the 321st Assault Group won't get what's coming to them.

I've got no real beef with Activision for pulling D3 support , I mean , I can understand the reasons from a Financial Standpoint , but yeah....inconsiderate.

Dynaverse 3 Resurrected!!

As many of you know, several weeks ago Activision had terminated service for the D3 Access Servers. This left many regular and die hard D3 pilots without a place to hunt and fly.

However, due to a great deal of lady luck, and a large amount of successful negotiations, the D3 access servers are back up.

FA_Frey_XC, owner of Xenocorp, along with other unidentified individuals, successfully convinced Activision to hand over control of the access servers to Xenocorp.

Currently, a beta client side patch has already been posted for download, and there is currently work being done to release a full client side patch along with server kit patches to help restore the entire D3.

Dynaverse.Net has obtained the Directory Servers for SFC3.

As of tonight, the directory services are up and running, and we've already gotten a "beta" patch for the client side, and we're working on fixing the serverkit to connect to the new directory servers - so everyone chill out, we've got you covered . Give us a couple days to get everything up, tested and verified, and then once we've gotten that done, we'll release both full-release patches to the community.

You can download the beta patch HERE : LINK REMOVED BY THOLIAN_STORM

NOTE: THIS IS A BETA PATCH AND AS SUCH YOU NEED TO READ THE INSTALL TEXT IF YOU WANT IT TO WORK. The final-release version will not require this.

We'd like to thank S31 and our un-named benefactor for their invaluable support in this endeavor, it couldn't have been done without ya'll !

Regards,

Frey

All I have to say is this:

WOOHOO!

You ain't just whistlin' Dixie , there , Majest. I thought I'd do a backflip when I read this. I thought for sure it was the end of SFC3 as I knew it.

Oh it's Majestic. I only use Majest at sites where Majestic is taken. ;)

Well I have never been a big fan of the SFC series, main reason is due to never being able to get SFC3 working on my PC. But I do support Star Trek gaming communities even ones I am not part of.
