• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

    Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

    We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Reopening the Project.

Hello,

A long time ago this mod was planned. Unfortunately nothing was released due to real life on all parties. I apologise for this. Today I wish to reopen the project however due to the mod originally being a Total conversion this did cause issues with members of the community to wait long periods. I therefore come again to attempt to get Stargate mods into the game. BIT I'm unable to model and texture items. So therefore I need members from the Armada community to support me.

- Stargate Project will now change from a Total conversion to a team which creates items for the fan base.
- I'm currently only looking for developers who can spare time to create meshes and textures - We will look at other team members if I'm successful in re-launching this project. I would ask if you are interested then please apply in the "Applications" thread with examples of your work.
- The only other thing I will ask for is that by applying you have the time to commit to he project. We will communicate in real-time by progams such as msn (example) or even mIRC.

So please if your interested and wish to get this project running, help out!

Spectre. Are you still going ahead with this project?? If so give me a yell as I can probably obtain quite a few models. A ship/station list would be useful as well.

Personally I think a total conversion is now within reach. The old Goa'uld race mod at AFC is reasonably good and forms the basis of my custom SG install. I've released both a Tau'ri and Wraith ship pack here. There are a few ancient ships kicking around. The missing pieces are the stations (although I have two meshes for the Tau'ri which are on my todo list to complete).

Well I've not got msn installed and haven't used it in quite some time. As for ships and that I have several Alteran and Human ships as well as the standard gates plus the Atlantis city ship. I've actually converted Atlantis to Armada 1 format to give it an ingame test and it ran fine. Theres a couple of images posted in my thread in the 3d section of this forum.

Are you able to convert them?? They currently reside in my model archive and the Atlantis test conversion was deleted a while ago.

Hmmmm. Okay, well I can convert them to cross compatible Armada 1/2 format but the textures do not come with light maps which is what your probably after. If you can find someone who can do the conversions to A2 format then give me a shout. If you don't mind them in A1 format then I'll need a weapons hardpoint position list from you.

I'm open for anyone who wishes to do the light maps but aslong as it works in Armada 2 im not fussed. As for the list shall I take take the screenshots you posted and dot the hps?
