Old SOD demo from A2 File Front

I remember over at A2 FF there was a video that I believe was by Achilles and in it this person made either a Romulan or a Klingon ship I believe and I think it was in MS3D, but it may very well have been in some version of Max. It was demonstrating that he made the ship model in like 5 minutes or something.

Does anyone else recall this and would anyone by chance have it saved somewhere? It wasn't in the download section, but some other section in the menu. Anyway, I haven't gone off the deep end I swear.

I found some hardpointing tutorials via the Wayback Machine (one, two, three) and a Google search produced this texturing tutorial by Achilles. Can't seem to find any MS3D modeling tutorials, though, which is really bizarre.

Would this modeler be Wrath of Achilles by any chance?

I haven't seen the video you described, however I have seen some of this modeler's work on several sites. Over at Nexus he has a Romulan Ibis and two Klingon ships, the Bat'leth and the Kquonvec.

I don't know if I'm permitted or not to provide his email address here or a direct link to one of his ships on the site, I'll err on the side of caution and not do so.

His email address is in the ships' read me file, which you can view in the ship description on Nexus. If this is the same modeler, perhaps you can send him a message and ask about the video?

Thanks Cabal. I'm sure it was Achilles and it was little video in an editing program. It was sped up so you could see a complete model done in like a couple minutes or something. I'll have to keep looking

That is the same Achilles of which I speak. I'm almost positive it was by him. I do have his email and have spoken to him several times so I might have to reach out to him. I know he's way out of the spotlight now a days', but ya never know
