Martha and Mickey on Torchwood. I think that would be pretty neat to be honest. Even though I don't watch Torchwood, have been meaning too though. :lol2:

In regard to the latest episode though:
Dalek Caan said that one of the Doctors Companions would *die*. Nobody actually died. Can't quite work that out.

We should know that the Daleks will be back though, one way or another. Might be that none of them escaped, but there are others elsewhere. Who knows?

Allthough none of them died Donna kind of did as the part of her who traveled with the doctor did.

Martha is not likely for Torchwood season 3 as Freema Agyeman is already busy with the Survivors remake & Law & Order: London.

The Poison Sky:
A good if not great conclusion to the Sontaran story.
I thought Rattigan looked pathetic when he pulled a gun on his students which resulted in them running away without him firing a shot. This is a similar scene to one that was in the final episode of Jekyll which directed by Douglas Mackinnon, the director of The Poison Sky.
Colonel Mace looked psychologically wounded when the Doctor mentioned the Brigadier. For what it is worth Colonel Mace is a better commanding officer than Colonel Faraday in The Android Invasion.
What a delight hearing the Doctor saying "Are you my mummy" referencing back to The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances and what a surprise seeing the Valiant again.
Quite a surprise that Rattigan gives to the Sontarans when he mocked their warcry before he and them got blown up.
What a ending to the episode with Martha locked in the TARDIS with the Doctor and Donna leading up to the next episode.

The Doctor's Daughter:
The Doctor's Daughter, Jenny is played by Georgia Moffett who in real-life is a Doctor's daughter. Her parents are Fifth Doctor Peter Davison and Sandra Dickinson (Trillian in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). Peter Davison used to be Peter Moffett but changed it to Davison when he joined the actors union Equity as it was too similar to the name of Doctor Who director Peter Moffatt.
Despite her pedigree Russell T Davies and Phil Collinson have insisted that her casting for this part had nothing to do with her familial relations.
Found it funny when Donna called Jenny, GI Jane.
Also funny when the Doctor said "Over My Dead Body" in regards to a dictionary entry for genocide.
After thinking about it, I understand why Martha had to be separated from the Doctor and Donna in this episode - as a reminder why she can't go back travelling with the Doctor again especially when that Hath died to save her life. Liked the bit earlier on when all the Hath were touching Martha.
Was disappointed that Donna didn't say Time Lady when she asked what a female Time Lord was called as well as no mention of Susan as I would have like to have had a reference to her in this episode.
Like the bit with the toy mouse.
Georgia Moffett was very good as Jenny, the title character (not to mention she is one in real-life) so it was very sad when she got shot. Very emotional last moments between the Doctor and Jenny. Also like when she went through the laser beams.
Very tense moment when Doctor held a gun at Cobb's head.
What a surprise Jenny is alive at the end (after the Doctor, Martha and Donna had gone). Wonder what new adventures awaits for her?

The Unicorn and The Wasp:
If anyone remembers at the end of Last of the Time Lords, the Doctor says that he wanted to meet Agatha Christie.
He finally has in this episode.
Fenella Woolgar is absolutely perfect as Agatha Christie.
Very funny when Donna mentioned Charles Dickens and ghosts since it did happen in The Unquiet Dead. Wonder if the Doctor told her about it afterwards.
A very delightful mystery and a very good attempt in explaining Agatha Christie's real life disappearance in 1926 - all because of the wasp of the title.

Silence In The Library:
The Doctor says that the Library has every book in existence. Interestingly one of the Big Finish stories The Genocide Machine (with the Seventh Doctor and Ace) has a Kar-Charrat Library which also claimed to have every book in existence.
Very cute line about spoilers.
Donna said that books can't be alive. Obviously she has never heard of talking books. (Little joke.)
This episode kept me guessing on what the connection is between the girl and the Library.
Playing Strackman Lux is Steve Pemberton, one of the League of Gentlemen. Fellow League of Gentleman Mark Gatiss has contributed to Doctor Who in various media including writing and appearing in the current Doctor Who TV series. Another League of Gentleman Reece Shearsmith has also done Doctor Who related work by appearing in Doctor Who spinoff videos.
Brilliant casting of Alex Kingston as River Song. Quite amusing when she called the Doctor, "Pretty boy". Also what a surprise that she has her own sonic screwdriver.
Liked the TARDIS diary.
Quite a scene with the books dropping out of the shelves.
Miss Evangelista was the first to be killed off. Just as I thought and was so disappointed that I was right about it. Very emotional scene when she was ghosting.
Colin Salmon plays Doctor Moon and what a surprise when she told the girl about the real world not being real.
Creepy hearing "Donna Noble has been saved".
Excellent cliffhanger to a brilliant episode.
The Next Time trailer for the next episode Forest of the Dead is the best one I have ever seen.

Forest of the Dead:
Excellent conclusion to the story that began with Silence In The Library.
Felt bizarre seeing the reality that Donna got to be in.
Most shocking moment was when Miss Evangelista's face was revealed.
What a revelation about the Girl.
Very sad when River died but please that she is not dead completely.

Midnight:
First of all some remarks about the two of the guest stars in this episode - Lesley Sharp and David Troughton.

Midnight was written by Rusell T Davies and this is not the first time Lesley Sharp has been in a RTD script. She was in Bob and Rose (in which she played Rose; sounds familiar) and The Second Coming alongside Ninth Doctor Chris Eccleston (it is too bad that Chris Eccleston has long since left as the Doctor as it would have been good to have seen a reunion for the two of them in Doctor Who).
Among her work was as lead character in the Afterlife TV series. Her character here in Midnight, Sky Silvestry is not so dissimilar to her Afterlife character.
I am so glad that she finally appears in Doctor Who and she brings in a superb performance as Sky Silvestry.

Playing Professor Hobbes is David Troughton.
David Troughton is the son of Second Doctor Patrick Troughton. He had previously appeared in Doctor Who in two of his father's stories The Enemy of the World and his father's formal swansong The War Games. He then appeared in the Jon Pertwee story The Curse of Peladon. Most recent to Midnight he was in the Big Finish story Cuddlesome with Fifth Doctor Peter Davison.
It just so happens that Midnight is directed by the unrelated Alice Troughton. It is too bad that he was not in The Doctor's Daughter also directed by Alice as it would have been something to have seen him in the same episode with fellow Doctor offspring Georgia Moffett.

It was amusing to see how much time passes by early on in the episode.
Yet another blink and miss appearance of Rose.

This is a very creepy episode and it is one in which the pace has been served well by the dialogue. It kept me guessing on how things were going to turn out.
With Donna only appearing in this episode for about 3 minutes in total, David Tennant as the Doctor gets very good material to work on, on his own.

The Stolen Earth:
First of all I am not able to give this episode full marks due to the unnecessary cameo of Richard Dawkins (I much prefer former Australian Treasurer John Dawkins).
Other than that this is a fantastic penultimate episode.
Wow upon seeing five names in the title sequence including a first for Lis Sladen as well as additional names that followed before the usual producer and director credit came up.
Wow what a three way crossover, with the main Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures characters (including Jack and Sarah) appearing here, this turned out to be.
Since he was in Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD Bernard Cribbins gets to have a reunion with the Daleks.
Wow seeing Rose with that gun.
Davros finally appears in the current TV series here and played here by Julian Bleach. Not sure yet what to make of his performance.
What a cliffhanger and unbelievable how large the phrase "To Be Continued" came up on screen.

Just did the calculation in my head and it was actually six not five names that were in the title sequence. Sorry about that.

Journey's End:
Wow what an end to this season.
Absolutely mouth watering to see all those companions at the TARDIS console.
Russell T Davies not only gets rid of the Doctor's hand once and for all with it growing into a new Tenth Doctor(!) but also solves Rose's love for the Doctor.
Absolutely sad about Donna with the Doctor being forced to erase her memories of her travels with him in order to save her life. Definitely much sadder than when the Time Lords erased Jamie and Zoe's experience with the Second Doctor in The War Games.
I really hated seeing the old Donna again. As Wilf says Donna was much better when she was with the Doctor.
A very sad journey's end for Donna Noble.

Partners In Crime:
Prior to the return of Donna, Russell T Davies had been developing a new companion call Penny Carter. Penny Carter the companion was ultimately abandoned when Catherine Tate said that she wanted to come back as Donna.

Russell T Davies however still used the Penny Carter name in Partners In Crime being the reporter who was investigating Adipose and played by Verona Joseph. It is however unlikely that Joseph is who Davies had in mind to play Penny the companion.

In The Writer's Tale, Russell T Davies revealed in one of his email correspondence to Benjamin Cook on who he had wanted to play Penny but the person's name has been censored in the book.

In the DVD commentary Davies says that he used the Penny Carter name as a laugh by showing her as the opposite of a companion with her doing things wrong.

This is emphasised with Donna's line towards the end of the episode of some people can't handle it (being the stuff that happens when the Doctor is around and referring to Penny) and some people can (referring to herself).

The Sontaran Stratagem:
At the beginning of The Sontaran Stratagem on DVD when Luke was talking to Staal about Jo Nakashima, the subtitles incorrectly refer to Staal as "ATMOS".
Also the audio description incorrectly referred to Staal as Colonel Staal when he is actually a General.
Watching this again I can understand why Bessie was not here as that would have remove the threat of ATMOS to the Doctor in the jeep. After all the Doctor would not be in that jeep if he got Bessie instead. Since Bessie is the Doctor´s car it is unlikely she would have had ATMOS being fitted in her.
However this does not explain why UNIT records has the Doctor travelling by TARDIS and not Bessie. During his time on UNIT, the Doctor drove Bessie every day, it is not like Bessie was unnoticed by the UNIT personnel.

The Unicorn and The Wasp:
The robbery at the church was said to have taken place on the previous Thursday night yet the flashback to this clearly shows sunlight shining in the church!

The Unicorn And The Wasp:
A couple of deleted scenes has a bedridden aged Agatha sometime shortly before her death. The first scene was meant to precede the TARDIS arriving in 1926 as the aged Agatha struggled to remember what happened back then.

The Unicorn and The Wasp had ended with the Doctor showing Donna, Agatha's book Death In The Clouds with it being a facsimile edition published in 5 billion with the Doctor saying that people never stopped reading her. Donna had said that Agatha did not think that her books was any good and that she (Agatha) got forgotten.

It would seem that this final scene in the TARDIS was filmed in place of the other deleted scene featuring the aged Agatha. This has the Doctor and Donna (she is incidentally wearing the clothes that she wore in the next episode Silence In The Library) visiting Agatha at her nursing home. Agatha suddenly remembers who they are. They reassure her that she hasn't been forgotten by showing her the aforementioned book. The way that The Unicorn and the Wasp could have ended was with the Doctor telling Agatha the story of what happened in 1926.
