• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Okay, I went to the Mining Station. I got the free Orange Environment Suit. I stepped through the airlock. Now, would someone please tell this here technologically challenged ignoramus what he has to do next to mine dilithium from the rocks? I already know I have to press the F Key. What I do not know is what I am supposed to be looking for on the rock piles. Do they flash when I can mine them? Do they have the little box and line symbol leading to them like anomalies do? Please help me, someone. And Thank you in advance.

Heh, yeah they really need a toutorial. What you do is go towards the points that are highlighted on your minimap just like mission objective areas. I think you maght be able to find them with the icon/compass thing at the top of your screen. If you are in the right area, you will be able to mine the dilithium which look like big dark crystal deposits.

When you do start mining, you are times like particle analysis in space or on ground. you have to rotate the triangle to line it up with the other one, making yours a couple sizes bigger so that the stationary one can fit inside yours. You will know when you have it right. The stationary triangle also moves around a lot, so the faster you get it lined up each time it moves, the more dilithium you will mine.

It is really complicated, but dilithium is dilithium. I just wish you could get more for all the work you go through.

One more time, please, Z. This time in simple, declarative sentences, using one syllable words. With the Help files enabled. And for God's sakes, type s l o w l y, lol.
Attached is a pic of what I am seeing. There are no highlighted areas on the map screen.

You should see orange circles on your map. If not then you need to make sure you have accepted the missions. :) Check your available missions for the mining mission. It is offered by Isihl.
