• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Cryptic studios in now in beta testing for Neverwinter, an MMO based on Dungeons and Dragons. This is the second of three Beta Test Weekends they have planned. If you are a lifetime subscriber of Star Trek Online or Champions Online, you can join the testing. I have downloaded and started playing it tonight. I must say, I am impressed so far. I have made it to Level 5 in about an hours time of playing and I have enjoyed it. I can't get into a whole lot due to the limited playing. I will most likely be spending my time there so I probably wont be on STO til Monday night (US). I will give you a little on my character though.

Name: Naethren
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Rogue Trickster

Neathren's father was a Human and his mother an Elf. Not really feeling he belonged with either, he became a rogue, relying on cunning, trickery, and thievery to survive. He was headed to the City of Neverwinter in search of an identity only to be swept up in the conflict against the evil that threatens the land. He wields dual daggers and is quite efficient with them. I can't wait to continue to explore what lies ahead.

I hope for the possibility to see some of my MSFC friends on there. If not, til we meet among the stars once again.

I'd love to join but with cleaning this house up and planning for the site upgrade in a few days time I am rather pressed for time. You'll have to let me know how it is after playing some more. Not that I'll ever give Cryptic any more of my $, but I am interested in getting away from STO.

Cool, man. I love me some D&D.

What are the graphics requirements on that thing? Is it comparable with STO? My old comp, you know... ;_;

I understand my friend. Take care of what you need.

Graphics are are not that demanding. In all honesty, it seems to be a little lighter than STO. My one complaint so far is that it seems the customization is not as in depth as that of STO. I can live with that though.

Also of note: Since this is a beta test, any characters that you create will be wipped so, don't get too attached. I have become attached to my half-elf so, come launch, I think that I will re-roll him. Next Beta test, I will roll something else.

Hm, I might give it a try. My system doesn't quite fit the minimum reqs, but it might work out anyway. I have an old-school 3GHz single-core CPU, tears through anything not relying on heavy multi-threading. I love the way they built those old chips.

As for the graphics card, my system packs a GeForce 8500GT. It's a rather crappy card, but I don't play graphics-heavy games and it has done the job for many years. Shouldn't be much worse than the GeForce 6800 the minimum reqs are asking for.

I actually considered buying a new PC a while back. Mine is nine years old today, and even though I've upgraded it over the years, it starts to show.

I just recently started playing this game. I'm Zangetsu on the Mindflayer server. I haven't had much time to invest in leveling but my friend that just recently moved from SWTOR to it seems to really enjoy it a lot. I really like the key binding setup they have as well. I'll be able to give a more in depth review once I'm able to play a bit more.

Hello everyone. Been a while since anyone posted in here about this game so I thought I would give some news on the game. Recently, the first update Module 1: Fury of the Feywild was launched. With it came new races (High Elf (Moon and Sun Elf options for those that bought the Feywild Pack) & Drow), new campaign Sharandar, and began adding paragon paths for the classes. Since then they released another end game campaign Gauntlgrym. Cryptic have now announced that that Module 2: Shadowmantle will be coming soon. With it comes more paragon paths, A new class Hunter Ranger, and a new campaign Dread Ring. You can find info about this new module here on the Neverwinter website.

Personally, I find this game to be lots of fun and if you have not tried it out, I would recommend you to. It costs nothing but bandwidth :lol2:

I have recently gotten back into this game. Actually playing it with my daughter. Anyone here is welcome to join us as well. If we can get at least five of us, we can start our own guild.

I installed it a while back but never really did anything. I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

Alrighty. I've got a level eight tiefling warlock and I believe I have a decent idea of what I'm doing by now. I could also start another character if you guys already have a warlock; I'm not really attached to him yet.

I have a Tiefling Wizard and my daughter a Tiefling Warlock. Both at level 29. She also started a Drow Rouge and I have a Drow Ranger. Both at about 4 or 5 as they are just past the first mission after the tutorial. I have also been thinking about creating a healer, either a cleric or paladin. We wont be on tonight but probably will the next two nights. We can all get on and figure it all out.
