I wanted to share with you the old sci-fi universes I created sometime ago as mention in the Our OWN Sci-Fi Show! thread.
Gefron - Written in 2000 Approx
During a decade long war with an alien race. Earth and her colonies (Mars, Jupiter moon, and Bantex) were infected with a dangerous and deadly virus. With the human race facing extinction, there was only one way to continue the human race. A group of selected individuals were cloned and held in stasis onboard a new and experimental class of vessel (2120). Their mission was to repopulate Earth 50 years after the ship was launched. That was 950 years ago. The experimental vessel: Gefron ES – J25 is awaken (3070) prematurely by the ships computer while being under attack by an hostile alien race.
Ancient Empires - Written in 2005 Approx
This story is basically about a expermiental Earth ship like the Prometheus off of SG-1.
This ship is the first Earth warship equipped with a FTL (faster-than-light) drive. On it's first mission the ship encounters a highly advanced race of Humans. These Humans are under attack from a more powerful and aggressive race. Very little is know about this race, with the exception that they have been wipping out or enslaving other races in the galaxy for thousands of years.
In the first episode this race of Humans are wipped out, with few survivors, some are now onboard the Earth ship. The Earth ship manages to send out a distress call warning Earth about these aggressive aliens before wiping their computers and making a blind jump into an unknown sector of the galaxy.
Both groups of Humans have to work together to advanced the ships systems and warn other lifeforms about this threat following them, while they try to find away back to Earth.
It is discovered that Earth is a lost colony of this now destroyed advanced race of Humans.
The Lost Civilization - Written in 2005 Approx
This story idea is an alternative take on Ancient Empires.
The story is set around the same time i.e. the early 21st century. An alien ship is detected crashlanding in the outback and a team is sent to investigate, they don't believe what they discover. The ship is of alien origins, but the crew of the ship are human, or at least they appear human.
Now from here I have two ideas.
Idea 1
Later in the story it is discovered that Earth was the homeworld of this human race, who were taken from the planet as slaves by an alien race who used them for slave labour in the far corner of the galaxy. For thousands of years they were force to work for this alien race until a revolt/uprising occurred. The humans destroyed their masters and started their own civilization using the tech of their former masters.
But now their masters have returned. Their race was all but destroyed and they are the last of their kind, or so they thought. A homing device is detected on their craft and they decide to leave Earth so that the human race can survive, they teach the Earthlings how their tech works, but before they leave a crack squad of Marines join their Human brothers and sisters onboard the vessel as they head out into space.
Idea 2
It is discovered that this race of advanced humans originated on Earth thousands of years ago, at this time humans had discovered how to travel faster-than-light. But a natural diaster was about to occur and so they left the planet behind, and the diaster occurred destroying their civilization. There were human survivors on Earth who eventually became what we are today. Meanwhile our brothers and sisters travelled for hundreds of years in space until they discovered a planet where they could live in peace without interference from alien neighbours.
300 years ago that all changed. An advanced race of aliens had started to conquer and enslave races throughout the galaxy. They discovered our space born brothers and attacked, the humans repelled the attacks for several hundred years, but their defences weakened and finally the aliens broke through. With their civilization doomed, they sent as many ships they could filled with their best civilian minds to distant parts of the galaxy in hopes of starting their civilization elsewhere.
It comes back to the present. These aliens are amazed to find their homeworld, but are unable to stay after detecting an alien tracking device on their ship. They decide that Earth's only chance for survival is to leave, the Earth United Government help their human brothers and sisters with repairs medical supplies and food as well as assigning a team of military and civilian personnel to their ship in the hopes of one day the human aliens could return in the future.
Along the way crew of this ship will meet many new civilizations as well as technology and mysteries onboard their own ship as well as getting to know each other while trying to avoid their alien followers.
As you can tell these were just basic outlines while I was bored. I actually have another one which I made up in my head and never written down on paper at around the same time as the last two. I can still remember it and it was far the best out of the lot. I may write it down here at a later date if some are interested.
