• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

that our speculations were right since Invincible is going to be the last book in the LoTF series?
certainly, a confrontation between brother and sister is coming, and you know i cant wait for that!!

Indeed, so there will be at least one confrontation between Jaina and Caedus, but could there be more? Not only with Jaina but perhaps Jag or Han (donning the Beskar armor) will play a part? My only wish is that Luke stays out of it...

i think there'll be at least 2 confrontations. Jacen/Caedus will win the first and Jaina's life will be saved by Jag, who'll be killed. and then at the end of the book Jaina will face him again and win the second duel, fulfilling the sword of the jedi role. possibly with some intervention at a critical moment by Ben

I'm a fan of Ben killing Jacen. That torturing *insert streams of curse words here* of a cousin needs a firm taste of his own medicine.

I dont think it's something Ben should play a part in to be honest, I think it needs to stay in the Solo family (+ Jag) for this...

Ben had his shot at taking out Jacen and failed. which leaves it to Jaina, which given Fury is perhaps not a good thing for her.
then again, the brother-sister smackdown being the last book of the series increases her survival chances.

Still, long time to wait since theres 'Revelation' to come before then.. which looks to be at least partly in first person from Jaina's POV, much like 'I, Jedi' was from Corran Horn's...

Yeah, someone reminded me that she still had a visit to Fett to make, and each of the Legacy books does seem to be from a certain perspective, most of the time...

yeh, but not really perspective wise, whereas this one is actually from jainas perspective a lot or seems to be.

cant say id noticed that any of them were from a perspective, apart from perhaps the coming 'revelation' and 'sacrifice'

Hmm, maybe it's just my brain failing me, I would have thought that Fury was largely from Ben's prespective, maybe not all of it but a lot... And I think one of the earlier ones had a ton from Jag's 'view'...

Maybe... but i dont recall any of it having been from a first person perspective like "I, Jedi" whereas at least part of Revelations is literally Jaina's 'I' view...

lol, thank you, welcome to my world

we all know shes gonna end up with Jag an Zekk at the same time, unable to choose between them both, assuming Jacen doesnt just kill her outright, which seems unlikely-ish

Completely unlikely sounds better... *prays she doesn't die*

agreed. they wont do it anyway, theyve already killed one solo kid and pretty much made Jacen unre-deemable. I have actually heard what happens in revelation anyway, but i havent got it yet

>_< I'll likely have to wait until Friday to get it since our Wal-Mart doesn't carry sci-fi books at all.

i've finished it already lol. just waiting for Invincible now lol.

some nice touches in it really, its a good read, and ties into more of the Karen Traviss books (for example, we've already seen Jaing Skirata from the republic commando novels make an appearance in the LotF series).

Plus its got Fett, and the Mandoa in which is always good stuff, as well as a few more twists besides :)

great stuff, roll on Invincible, and for the love of god, kill caedus, none of this redeeming nonsense!
