Hello:
It looks indeed very promising, that will be a great addition to the Klingons... but, since those nacelles make this much sense (as well as the power conduits to feed the disruptor cannons), that BoP might/should even be a retcon for all our games :D .

Thank you.
Attached includes texture progress (I really have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to Klink textures) and some shots with the wings up and down.

Looking good. Textures could use more details like armor plates on the wings.

Wow that Intrepid is mad in that image.

Also loving the BOP looking forward to seeing it finished mate. You do some awesome work on updating original designs.

Oh and Hellkite I agree a lot with your thoughts on STO, though I must admint they make some awesome Klingon and Romulan designs it's just the structure and feel of the game and the Feds are all off.

Oh yeah, the colors on the BoP are really selling it. I can totally see it as a post-Nemesis craft.

Thanks all. What with work, flying and the sunny weather I've been getting a bit behind on the BoP. But here's a texture update.

Hello:
And I agree, and I admit is very unique how you have redesigned the wing details to match the new style you are making.

Thank you all. Slowly making progress but with sunny weather out I've not been spending huge amounts of time on it. Regarding the wing panelling, they are very different from a traditional BoP as I was trying to fit in more with a vor'cha or negh'var - I think the almost rather like style is a holdover from when the script called for a stolen romulan ship. Also, it's very hard to do :lol2:

It's always frustrating when you spend a lot of time on textures, apply them to a mesh... and it looks pretty much the same as before.
Oh well, more work required.

Rain again on Sunday, so a day stuck indoors :(
But in anticipation of this I had copied across the BoP to ms3d so I was able continue texturing. So here's a belly shot.

I think it's very good. I'm curious, where do you have added the bussard collectors?

Thanks.
I'm undecided on buzzard collectors. At present it doesn't have any. I haven't decided whether to go for glowy style or more mechanical grating or nothing at all. If I do, then they'll be a small aperture on the leading edge of the nacelle.

I think I'm about done with the textures. I may de-greeble the neck a bit and add something by the deflector, but otherwise I'm happy.
Picture of the buzzards.

A long morning of polygon reduction, I realised the last export had been over 5000 polies! This was because I was toying with the idea of making a hi-poly version of this mesh (I still might). Anyway, down to 3572 now - still a little high for a BoP but other than making the round bits less round, there isn't much else I can do.
Comparison shots with a regular BoP (Aads).

I'm not sure how A2 would handle a fleet of 3572 poly BoPs, but I think FO should be just fine. They did improve the renderer.

With the low poly version of the Seeker done, I've had a quick play with the textures on the high poly version. So far it works quite well, a little bit of tidying on the nacelle grills and the shuttle bay is required, but that's about it.
So, more detailing to follow...
