Seeing that this is here I figured I may as well introduce myself.
I found MSFC when I was looking around to see if there where any mods/fan updates for ST Armada and found a post for a fix to make it playable and thought I would share what I had been using. I was intrigued by the community.
I have only done a bit of mesh modeling(I have done quite a bit of sci fi physical modeling which I may post if anyone shows an interest) and they where mostly just build guides for projects in minecraft but that was almost 9 years ago. But I have done some modding here and there but mostly for personal use. I first started getting obsessed with modding mostly using mods others have made but occasionally fiddling around with stuff myself in Morrowind than Oblivion and Skyrim. After that I started to spread out into games like Star Wars empire at war and Mount and Blade.
I fell off of modding for a few years until around mid 2017 when I decided to try my hand at modding Stellaris while I was a bit out of my depth and still am I a was able to fix a few things I disliked in the game. Mostly just stuff like increasing the planet cap so you did not have to use sectors and fiddling with the planet management of the AI to try and make the bots a bit more competent at it. But at the same time the modding community was amazing people where doing things to the game I could not even dream of doing (like a total conversion of the game to the star trek universe) and so that was the last time I ever played a vanilla version of said game again.
So you could imagine my excitement when I found a big modding community for one of my favorite game series of all time Star trek armada(which got me interested in computers and caused me to to build my own out of spare parts I could scavenge up. So that I could play it with a better performance than my 7 year old 486 CD/33 Packard bell). I have never tried my hand at modding either 1 or 2 (I have no idea where I would start or what I would want to do with them) but I am very interested to see what others are doing.
