• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

A new Judge Dredd movie will go into production in 2009.

"Rebellion and 2000 AD are proud to announce that Judge Dredd is coming to a cinema near you soon!

Together with DNA Films, the movie production company behind such great sci-fi movies such as Sunshine and 28 Weeks Later, Judge Dredd will go into production in 2009.

Jason Kingsley, CEO and Creative Director said, ‘We can’t give away too many details at this point, but we’re looking forward to working with DNA Films to bring Judge Dredd back to the big screen.’"

As well as the Sylvester Stallone movie, Judge Dredd was also a series of audio plays made by Big Finish Productions (the makers of the Doctor Who audios).

for 'purists' the first film was little short of an abomination...

(imagine something like a bit like having Kirk turn tricks to earn credits so he could buy something from the niezchians...)

So we can only hope that the second will be better...
Although they do ahve kind of a problem there... after all Dredd isn't exactly the most sympathetic of lead characters... (nearly completely un-empathic, draconian, inflexible arbiter who very deliberately has no personal life of his own...oh yeah, and NEVER misses or messes up...)

i admit im not much of a "purist" i have never really been a fan of comics, or many things like that that involve reading. (Aside from the Bucky O'hare ones i had)

I had never read anything about Judge dredd, watched the film and i thought it was great, however, I do see what your Saying Creed. To go back to my previous example if they made a Bucly O'Hare film and changed it so majorly i would be annoyed.

(Now thats an idea... Bucky O'Hare the movie!)
