Data Extract 202 has reported on the passing of John Franklyn-Robbins and Andrew Downie.
John Franklyn-Robbins was born on December 14 1931. He appeared in Doctor Who in early Tom Baker story Genesis of the Daleks as the nameless Time Lord who sends the Doctor on a mission to destroy the Daleks at the time of their creation.
He was also one of the group of actors to have appear in both Doctor Who and Star Trek. He appeared in The Next Generation in the final season episode Preemptive Strike as Macias.
Coincentally I had just seen him in the Campion story Police At The Funeral which starred Fifth Doctor Peter Davison.
He died on March 21 2009 at the age of 77.
Andrew Downie was born on May 26 1922.
Downie had appeared in Doctor Who in the second Second Doctor story The Highlanders as Willie Mackay.
He died on April 15 2009 just over one month shy of his 87th birthday.
