• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

This is something I stumbled across last night, and it is so totally different to what we've accustomed to with sci-fi that I thought it was really noteworthy of a thread here.

I am not making any statement by this post nor do I wish anyone to start anything, this is a movie, a piece of fiction and should be treated as such. This movie is also noteworthy of using German, Australian and New Zealand actors, something we don't see a lot of especially in the one movie.

The Story of Iron Sky
Towards the end of World War II the Nazi scientists made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity. From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.

Now it’s 2018, and it’s the time for the first American Moon landing since the 70′s. Meanwhile the Nazi invasion, that has been over 70 years in the making, is on its way, and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom. The three main characters of the story are Renate Richter (Julia Dietze), Klaus Adler (Götz Otto), and James Washington (Christopher Kirby).

I in no manner like Nazis, moon flavored or not(they give me indigestion),
but they do have frakin HUGE space blimps, those are pretty epic looking.
Wonder how they work...
Yeah, the movie looks interesting, is it from humanities or the Nazi side of the story? Cause it looks like its being told from their end, in the beginning at least...might make for good start up in the movie, even if the main "savior" characters become a bit less defined.
