• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Digital channel Sci Fi has signed its first original drama production deal by commissioning new space adventure series Ice Planet.

Ice Planet stars Michael Ironside - best known for playing Jester in Top Gun and the villain Richter in Total Recall.

Ironside will play captain Jonus Trager, who heads a crew of scientists and soldiers on the maiden voyage of the spaceship Magellan after a vicious alien attack on earth.

The series, which will feature 22 45-minute episodes to be filmed in London and Canada, is due for delivery in October. British actors are likely to be cast in major roles and cameos.

Sci Fi, part of US giant NBC Universal, is co-producing the series, which has a budget of $29m (£17m), with partners in Canada and France.

The broadcaster said Ice Planet "plans to rewrite the rules of science fiction and episodic television drama".

"This production deal furthers Sci Fi's commitment to providing viewers with the best the genre has to offer and allows us to play an integral role in the development of what we hope will be a hit franchise in the UK and around the world," said Jon Farrar, the channel's programming director.

Sci Fi said it has appointed Sara Johnson, the former Sky One head of drama, to consult as executive producer on the show."

I have a DVD called Ice PLanet. I believe it is a different movie to the one mention by you TS.
