• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Huh strange...the forerunners glyphic system seems to run on a similar basis to mine, considering I've actually never read up on them at all. Hell of a coincidence if you ask me, cause the glyphs they use look to be evolved from a similar point of origin, such as possibly my glyph structure?? Just longer in the running?
I've honestly no hard conclusion on this, but that seems extremely interesting. Also, I found one of my old minecraft skins!

My glyph system has no number setup, so I may actually end up adopting and enhancing this system.

If you will note, the first 6 (Base-5th), Are original Bungie intellectual property.
I suppose the 6th to 10th would be theirs by extension, and any that may
follow, as they are a derivative of said property.
Ok, on another note, how should I proceed to extend them?
Should I open the next rotation and so on? I want some suggestions, but I'll
continue to open the rotations, and show them as I think it would work.

All hail the mighty shattering of glasses...by accident of course:oops:,
I mean hell, if I wanted to break a drinking glass, I wouldn't do it on my
floor...>.> no matter how much good art may come of it.
cause now i gotta wear my sandals at my own desk, in my own room....feels...stifling...
In any case, some little bit of good came out of this mess,
(which included a drop or 2 of blood from my foot, sadly...),
as I found 2 tiny glass bits that looked much like swords!
Small as they are, the visual punch my phone camera was able to pull
from them was incredible, as far as I see it.
This was done using nothing but a small flashlight,
like a miners lamp,(you know, the ones strapped to their heads),
and my fair powered no-flash-included android LG Optimus with Sprint software.
Oops, almost forgot the manipulator! A pair of tweezers, so I didn't cut
my fingers up on the sharp as hell edges of these little blades.
Ok then, done telling, more showing!

Ok, so this set was done as a lighting-test/start-off, to say something along
the lines of "Look, THESE are SHARP, and not bad looking!", and to get my
picture skills back into running mode, with lighting and such...its not very easy >.<
In the really close up pics, I'm at 4X mag, I get pretty decent quality
After test, we get to the greatness of the "Idea/Project" phase...
I found out that the more blocky looking part looked amazing as a guard when
placed at the right angle over the other!
(I'm now absolutely positive half of art is luck and accidents)

And here you may see the final product coming into play,
now to just get the right lighting.....

To be perfectly honest, I am not sure what it is. It looks like a piece of glass, in which case is awesome if you made it.;)

 You got it, glass it are, but it looks like a sword of crystal glowing
with light of powers otherworldly in that last pic, if you ask me;)
When I saw that capture on my cammera it made me think of the great
"Callandor", the "Sword that is not a Sword", forged with the One Power in the
Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, cause that's pretty close to how he
describes it, when I visualized it during my reading.

Hello:
I agree, it looks like glass to me. Iam very amazed how you managed to get that effect, maybe I should kill you and then to steal your memories when you download in the nearest Resurrection Ship :naughty:.

Hehehe, really, I would like to learn how to do that kind of things in the future.

I also like the symbols you were also making.

Thanks Chiletrek :)
In the end, its just like what the paparazzi does to get shots of celebs, you take your subject, and then take lots of pics of it in different lighting setups, until you get one that looks amazing! And that would be the shot they sell, or use in the paper, or magazine. It's a lot of trial and error...mostly error, but in the end its usually worth it for a beautiful graphic representation of part of our world.

Hello:
Well, I can always give it a try, but no guarantees as RL will be getting a little agitated very soon, as I am working on personal projects too. But thank you for the advice :) .

I swear if its the last thing I do, I'll bring this meme back to life, cause its to epic to die.
Did it for a cheap laugh, thought it looked good, so I decided to share it.
Certainly hope someone gets a kick outta it. :p

Also, nice updates, though "the most recent post" feature was nice in the last forum setup, I think I might start missing it.
