• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hey there. I'm CABAL's younger sister. I not a fan of Star Trek yet, but I plan to start playing Armada as soon as possible, and maybe watch the TV series. But at the moment Onii-kun (that's what I call my brother) is in possession of the only copy in the house. So..yeah. Hi.

Hello there, Rain, and welcome to the site. :D This site is not just for Star Trek, but in fact it's for all scifi, as well as gaming. I see you have two Whitestars belonging to the Angla Shok, also known as Rangers. Is Babylon 5 your fav. show? :)

Not my fave, but I do think it's really cool and was the best thing I could find.

Greetings greetings! :)

More new members to this site is always a welcoming.....uh..sight.

Nice to see you're a family member of one of our members, and a girl no less!! I mean NO offense by that at all, it's just that I rarely see any girls being seriously involved with sci-fi. It's a pleasure to meet another one though.

Side note: I'm no expert in Japanese or any Asian language, but from what I picked up from various anime, isn't Onii-Chan the used term, or is it used just more than Onii-Kun?

Yes, onii-chan is correct. However, not having a complete understanding of Japanese suffixes and word/sentence structure could lead to believing that onii-kun is also correct. She still uses it even though she knows it isn't technically correct though because it sounds like oni-kun (shorter i sound) which roughly translates to 'devil child'.

And that concludes today's Japanese lesson.

I, for one, would be simply fascinated to discover the origins of this nickname for a sibling. I am hopeful it isn't mundane and intended as a joking reference. I am also a little afraid I may be terribly close to the T.M.I frontiers.

We picked up a little Japanese, then Rain messed part of it up. After finding out what it actually translated to she decided to keep using it anyway because she thought it was funny.
