Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.
Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.
We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.
Free on Epic Games from now until Jan 6 is the Tomb Raider trilogy.
Yes! All three games....
Tomb Raider
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
I actually preferred Shadow over Rise, which does not seem to be a popular opinion. Its a good trilogy - although the third is arguably the weakest of the three
It's certainly the most flawed, I'd say. The writing is generally meh, the pacing is really weird, and it makes no sense to have a mostly combat based skill system in a game where there isn't a lot of combat to begin with. That said, it is undoubtedly the most exploration and puzzle focused game of the three. (I also have a weakness for the Mayan/Incan setting, so that is a plus for me )Its a good trilogy - although the third is arguably the weakest of the three
I found Shadow's plot to be more interesting than Rise's. Rise was really bad at hiding twists, and just about every major plot point could be predicted from the first couple cinematics. Shadow's plot was a little harder for me to predict, and the villain was much more interesting for me. Pacing was definitely bad in both, though. It's really difficult to both sell a sense of urgency and encourage the player to go over every area with a fine tooth comb while hunting rare animals for crafting materials. It's certainly the most flawed, I'd say.
