The bridge, I was hoping no one would ask. :lol2:

That is one of the minor things I still need to add.

The new ship looks good!

Also in regards to the warp in stuff I havent messed with 8472 in years but did that support any randomness?

With the FO replacement weapon for warp you can have x number of ships come in but with randomized classes....in other words you always get 3 ships with standard warpin but what 3 ships is always randomized. I like that feature a lot as it adds some unpredictability to the game.

Ahh replaceweapon rock!! Avatars....warpins....weapn refits.....alternate firing modes and armaments.....

Sorry to go on a promotional rant....

Yeah new ship looks great...but it defintly could use a command bridge.

I do think FO will end up being the platform for this modification, it just has so much to offer and might give a fresh new lease on life for Armada modding for me. I have been modding the game (A1 and A2) for 10 years now.

The ship will certainly get a command bridge, where is the Gul and his Glinn's going to site otherwise. :lol2:

I am not sure what it will look like yet, I'll no doubt grab it from one of the other Cardassian models I have done. Perhaps give it a bit of a change however. This model is in fact my second Dominion/Cardassian hybrid vessel and I plan a few more before I am done.

This vessel is certainly going to be a light cruiser now I look at it. Going by the Norin this vessel does look substantially bigger, however knowing me I may changed my mind between now and then depending on the needs of the Cardassian fleet.

I might do that, it's just the Kondal has the same bridge and thought it might look good on this model. I might texture her fully then see what it's like. :)

yeah its difficult to decide if its too long or not. You could also add another floor on the top of your long bridge.
something like this:
fo_ship_overview_boudicca.jpg

or a new bridge on top which sticks out to the sides:

Thanks Fahres, I will have a look at that bridge after I have her textured and see where I want to take it from there.

However in the meantime I have started a new ship, a interceptor/patrol ship based loosely on the Soniad's design. Pictures coming after I get some more work on her done.

Okay here are some images of the interceptor for the Cardassians. Again it features Dominion influence in it's design.

I haven't done any work on the bottom of the vessel, hence why no screenshots of it.

The gaps in the wings I am not sure whether to either leave them, add a warp grill glow or a exposed system parts section to it. Ideas on this would be appreciated. :)

Ooo! I like the design of this one.

I personally would leave the gaps in... Possibly pointing toward a design evolution, post Dominion War, in Cardassian ships? Could be a new aesthetic for all post war Spoonheads?

Looks very nice mate

Thanks Dino, my aim is to have post Dominion war Cardassians to look like this, gaining influence from the Dominion. After all they shared ship yards and the Cardassians would have plans on Dominion designs, otherwise how did the Dominion ships in the Alpha Quadrant get built? I doubt the Vorta could do it all themselves and the Jem'Hadar are fighters not mechanics.

I feel the curved wing feel is the direction I am taking the post war Cardassians. I am moulding their wings a bit after the Dominion warp nacelles as the wings on Cardassian ships to me include the nacelles integrated into them.

She is designed to be of similar size of the Hideki, so not all that big at all I say about 100 meters or less. I plan to give her a crew of no more than 40, probably more like 20 however.

Please leave the spaces. Makes the design look much more interesting. Perhaps just the tiniest bit of Dominion Purple somewhere on the texture? Nothing overt. Just something which subconciously suggests a borrowing of Dominion technology.

New! Improved! Post Dominion Spoonheads! Now made with Real Ships! :lol2:

Oh, that ship looks great! Amazing desing, Majestic!

As for the gaps, I'd leave them where they are. Looks interesting and really good. Maybe add some small stuff around or near them to indicate that they serve some kind of purpose? Although that could also be done via texturing.

Okay, I've done some more work on the Interceptor with no name. As stated above I've left the gaps, just added windows to the side of them.

I have also modelled the bottom of the craft, added impulse engines to the back of the wings on both side to give it a feel of high manoeuvring and added some exposed sections on the main hull.

Check out the attachments to see the new additions. I have also started to texture parts of it. I've completed the wings, done the bridge and tail section and the exposed system parts.

You are getting better in 3d-modelling with every ship you do, Maj. :)

Awesome work.

Well she is now completed including texturing, she stands at a whopping 726 poly count.

Well to be honest I think the Defiant would win, as this ship is designed as a patrol ship which are really only good against fighters and small capital ships. The Defiant I will be having set up as either a frigate or a gunship.

However I am thinking of giving my Cardassian Dominion inspired designs Dominion weapons.

you should make the beam weapon texture vary between yellow and blueish..like a gradual variation...showing that the cardassian weapon is somewhat dominion based...kind of a mix of the high powered phaser and the phased polaron beam...

Very cool looking ship, she looks like she was built for speed. One of the best new designs you've done so far I'd say :)

Me likey! Want NOW! Gimmeegimmeegimmeegimmeegimmee... lol.

BTW, Captain Sisko. I'd like to remind you after your ascension to the Celestial Plane as one of the Bajoran Prophets, you no longer need Defiant. What is more, you should be above such petty things as smashing a Cardassian vessel which merely trying to serve and protect the Union. I would go so far as to say if you do so, this action will make you appear little better than a rather dodgy knockoff of...Q.

Whatever will the other Prophets say?:lol2:
