Federation Crusiers

The Federation have a few Cruisers at it's disposal in Future Tense, 4 in total. Light / Medium / Heavy.

First out of the shipyard of redevelopment was the Ronin Class, the 'light' option. The model was remastered by Sam built with more detail than the previous model with myself returning to give her a coat of paint. Check it out!

So what special weapons are on the Ronin beyond Phasers and Photon Torpedoes?

The Heavy Option for the Federation Cruisers is the Steamrunner Refit, redesigned and hardened using the original conceptual designs from the ship that famously made it's first appearance in Star Trek First Contact. Rebuilt from the original Future Tense model, the new model has been built and textured by me, with some some unique programming to make her a fearful vessel if crossed!

The Steamrunner takes on a similar role as fcru2, in that it's slow and can sponge damage. This Steamrunner however is designed as a long-range battle-tank, touching upon the Destroyer class, she's armed with weapons that can never miss if used correctly, and can provide instant support to troubled fleets. You don't want to go up against one on your own!

So what's the Steamrunner armed with?

If I may make a suggestion, you could rename these threads Cruisers, Battleships and Specials and so on and post all the ships in the mod in those threads no matter what race

That's quite clever relocating the bussards below the saucer, overall great as a new variant.

Terrific job with the ships Phantom, the Steamrunner looks like the original decided to put on a heavy flak vest and is ready to start slapping some electronics off of Borg faces.

The Ronin looks sleek and fast, perfect for a light cruiser.

Where are the other two? You said there are four cruiser class vessels for the Federation and we got the light and heavy cruiser tonnage vessels. Are the remaining two the medium class?

The Intrepid is the Medium Cruiser and is going to get a redress and some enhancements will be added soon Initally the Vindicator was a light Cruiser but after some debate we've decided it's better equipped as an assault vessel.

I *knew* that there was something "wrong" about that Steamrunner, I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. Repositioning the bussards is a masterstroke - I like it a lot.

As for the Intrepid, feel free to borrow ideas from my Block II.

Yeah but it looks cool... I can't claim all the credit though - I just built the Steamrunner Concept from First Contact with a few tweaks of my own

I only see a revamp done by Alex Jeager in the Star Trek TNG sketchbook, the normal steamrunner was in First Contact.

Phoenix's Republic Class is in FT but took a lot of convincing for permission lol wouldn't wanna over step the mark by getting another great ship, but yeah his saber is a think of beauty!

I like the upgrades, but the aft of the sensor pod is a little bland. Just an observation, but would adding an aft torpedo tube texture add a little flair and protection to that area?
