• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Cawley's humor and Tobias' skill have striked gold! Nice to see they retained the cattywompus size. Seeing the old one pass by really got the sense of scale.

:shock: thjat first one is just 10 seconds of pure awesomeness. I looked at the author and then it all made sense. It actually looked like physical models, but better quality than tos. Verry good.

The others are good too.

I think that the only thing I can complain about was that it wasn't in 1080p.:cry2:

That was epic and I don't even care about BSG.

My only gripes are:
  1. It would be even better if it had sound effects.
  2. I'm not a fan of the shaky cam thing. I know he's trying to mimic the show's style, but I think it detracts from the piece.

The video was on a much hi-res ages ago, but the link to that doesn't work anymore :( .

I can understand what you say, when missiles impact on the ship's hull, the shaking is too violent. In the serie it was done only once I think, but it was during the battle of New Caprica, when Galactica lost one of it's dorsal turrets (the big boom that can be seen). Still Ithink the video is great and of a great quality. :) .

Not just the shaking, but the quick zooms and turns, and the slight shaking as if someone were filming it with a handheld camcorder. They did it in SGU too and I didn't like it very much at all.

Yeah, it was ok in BSG, but it is a bit over done in that vid, but who can really argue with that kind of home made video?

Hello:
And I cannot agree more .

Still, I like very much the ammount of details on those models. Too bad we didn't get to see more of that Resurrection Ship though, hehehe. That huge Battlestar's design was very interesting too.

I'd not seen this one before...

Clicky clicky

Nothing spectacular, but certainly a different kind of warp effect, has an extra feeling of motion and depth to it.
Has a bit of TMP style about it, and a bit of IMPS: The Relentless hyperdrive effect.

I love that, just as great as the JJPrise effect, maybe even better!

I also like the Intrepid-style deflector on that Galaxy...

Hello:
Those were very interesting videos, I like how the ships moved without lags and the music chosen was very nice :) .
