• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hi!
I am EAS_Intrepid as my username suggests (man, what a quick thinking!)

Real Name: Hagen (Like the guy who killed Siegfried the Dragonhunter, in a European tale)
Location: Berlin, Europe (I am more a European than a German)
Age: 17, born in September 1988

I am a freak when it comes to military history (and history of the 20th century) and currently I plan to be later engaged in military politics (as advisor) or as historian. Besides that I am a person who can also speak about other more normal things (though I kinda hate small-talk).

First contact with Majestic was when I asked for a position on the USS Midway RPG (now I am Marko Schukow, MACO)

My favourite Sci-Fi shows are 1. Babylon 5, 2. Star Trek TOS, 3. BattleStar Galactica (new)

Then I am also a modder for Star Trek Armada II (Mods: Modern Space Combat and, to be announced later, a mod directly connected to Babylon 5 and I also help out in A2 Parallels, of course!)
.

My friends (in RL) say, that I could be considered as a Russian with American English and that I annoy just about everyone with being stubborn...
Here on the forums is nothing to be stubborn about, so there's no need to.

Anything else? I don't know, but I am "Open to points of information" as they say in the UN.

Hey,
just a little update on me, as other's posted lots of information on themselves, I do that too.

So as already said I am going to be historian or military advisor (with speciality: Russia) after I finished school and studied (military) history and psychology.

The sentence that would describe me best would be "I write books for the C.I.A.!" by Jack Ryan from Hunt For Red October. This quote, because I think that I would do just such things, writing books and reports for a more specilaized group of people.

In my life I already earned several nicknames, like "General Iwanov", "Jack Ryan" and other's I do not even dare to speak out.

Favourite character of any Non-SciFi show is Gil Grissom of CSI Las Vegas, favourite movie character would be Captain Marko Ramius of Red October (my fav. movie, BTW) and Col. Nathan R. Jessep (from "A Few Good Men", favourite SciFi characters are probably Ivanova, Londo and Colonel Tigh.

School is currently just annoying, as I have now math and German exams behind me and the next one will be the written and the oral English examination. My English teacher (unfortunately my class teacher also) has just redeployed me from the BerMUN-Project (explanation a few lines below), because she said, I need to be careful when doing the listening comprehension exercises (teacher puts in a tape and students put ticks on an worksheet where questions about the text on the tape are). Well, this was especially worriying, as I learned English with DVDs and BBC World and CNN. (In short, with listening.)
Then when I am bored I am ordered to do something where I do not disturb my classmates (and I do not want to, they need the exercise and it is fine with me, in math I am the total sucker).

BerMUN is short for Berlin Model United Nations. This is an event where students take the seats of real-life diplomats and discuss the recent matters of the political life in the UN. One time a year this is international and the other times it is just Berlin and we have a work group at school doing the same thing on a much smaller scale. (I just recently represented the USA in the Iran issue.)
For me it is quite fun, as I can meet people from all over the world that are interested in world politics and because one can see how hard it is to bring a resolution through the Disarmament Committee and then through the General Assembly of the United Nations.
But it's fun.

What I really hate is when someone drags me to a party, as I am really not a party freak. My birthday I never celebrate and Christmas scares the hell out of me!

I am really a fan of music, I don't listen it all the time because I really like it when it's sometimes veeery quiet. My favourite music is probably Rock and Punk (I raised with such music!) as well as classic music (most favourite: Tchaikovsky).

Yeah, now you have a little more inside in my freak world! (It get's worse every day :lol2:)

Well, people, my old laptop that accompanied me for three years now is broken.
Not into two pieces - HD, cooling system, display and so on is all fine - but what is a computer without an energy input system. I am writing this on the last 50% energy reserve the energy cells have.

It is indeed a wonder that the GERICOM "Hummer" laptop ran so long. We have it now for five years or so. (After two years I had it for my own)

All I need now is a new laptop, that is more up-to-date. My old Hummer was kinda slow, it was a heavy device and difficult to carry. In the end the display went black sometimes, but that was just a minor flaw that I could fix...

So now this is either going to the media store and asking how much I would need to pay to let the input system fix, or getting a new laptop for around 800 Euro at best. I just hope that I can get one WITHOUT any Microsoft Windows included, as I already have a non-systembound Windows XP Home edition setup disc. *sigh*
That's all BS.

Yes, I can still be around and comment. But I can't do any meshes for the time being.
Looks like I will fix the laptop tomorrow and start collecting money for a new one.
I bet I have to pay a good amount money for something that will turn out to be a broken cable...

In mid to late September (actually around September 20) I'll be in possession of a new computer. Then I can continue modelling...

Cool! Yeah, my current PC doesn't work with the modelling programs. But the new one I use does, so to submit files i have to take them from the new pc, but them on an external drive, and put them on the internet PC.

Project Leader for the AoE Modification if I am not mistaken. From what I've seen, some good stuff, even if you wont include the White Star :p
