• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Some very interesting news coming from Bungie today regarding the future including transmog and cross play.

Also to note, the quest for Hawkmoon is now live as well.

Destiny is one of those games that I *want* to like but it's almost impossible to jump back in after any absence. Like, I want to go through the SP content I missed from D2's launch but how do I do that??

There is a kiosk next to the post master that lets you play any previous campaigns that are still available.. exceptions would be Warmind because Mars was vaulted, Curse of Osiris because Mercury was vaulted and portions of the Red War because IO and Titan were also vaulted... At this point, the game has become an evolving narrative.. you just have to catch up on what the game is offering now, not what it offered previously.

The thing about Destiny is that it is fun.....as long as you don't get caught up in the grind. The game is very grindy at end game and if you focus on it, you will lose interest in a heartbeat. The trick is to play what you like and then dabble in the things you don't to break up the monotony. Also, if you can play with friends, it's a blast.

How easy is it to get into the game, as someone who has never played it? I've been meaning to give it a try, so I can join you all for a game now and then. I don't play MMOs much, specifically because I don't particularly enjoy grinding (or have the time for it, really).

My advice is to go for it. You can try it out and decide if you like it. The base of the game is free so all of the New Light content you can play through. Should give you enough of a sample to decide if you like it. I'd be happy to join ya, I play on both PC and Xbox.

Huh... didn't realise that! I've noticed some D2 stuff listed in the Xbox Gamepass area, so I might have to check it out again soon then.

I had a lot of fun running a raid with the clan last night. We ran Deep Stone Crypt. Only had 5 members on so we pulled a sixth by LFG. The guy we ended up with was a real piece of work. Talked at the beginning like he only knows a little bit of what to do by watching videos. Turned out he had over 80 clears. Caused a lot of issues for the group and we were relieved when he left. Overall though, it was a good experience and I hope to complete more in the future.

Sony has plans to acquire Bungie, the studio behind the hit sci-fi MMO Destiny, in a deal worth $3.6 billion. Bungie will join the Sony Interactive Entertainment family, which includes Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, Guerrilla Games, Sucker Punch Productions, Bluepoint Games and a handful of other prominent studios.
