• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

Found out from TV Tonight that ABC2 will debut Being Human on June 19 9:20pm following Torchwood:
Airdate: Being Human :TV Tonight

"three supernatural housemates in their 20s are trying to live as normal. One is a ghost, one a werewolf and the other a vampire.

All are trying to keep their dark side hidden from outsiders, but within their shared house, they can let out their dangerous and strange secrets."

Created by Toby Whithouse, Being Human has since been renewed for a second season.

Being Human made its Australian debut on ABC2 last night but from the first episode of the first season instead of the pilot.
Except for Russell Tovey all the characters were recast when Being Human became a fully fledged series.

Season 1, Episode 1:
Intriguing George's backstory.
Terrible tragedy towards the end.

Season 1, Episode 2:
George meets a fellow werewolf in Tully and was surprised about the truth about him.
Very shocking the video that Mitchell, George and Annie watched.

To Australian viewers:
Toby Whithouse has been mentioned in mX but not by name. In an interview with Aidan Turner who plays the vampire Mitchell in Being Human he was asked that with the various shows, books and movies about vampires they all have different rules what is the situation with Being Human.
He said: "It's so great that the creator and writer of the show [Toby Whithouse] made up new rules - he doesn't really care because it's supernatural, so there is no right or wrong."
Turner was also asked that given the choice would he play a vampire, werewolf or ghost. He chose vampire not just because he plays one but because vampires are able to handle their afflictions more than werewolves and ghosts can with theirs.

mX also mentions that season 2 will have 8 episodes, two more than the first season.

To Australian viewers:
Tonight's episode has a reference to an old sci fi show.

It is not the obvious suspects like Doctor Who or Star Trek but one you would not normally expect to hear.

Season 1, Episode 5:
To Australian viewers:
Tonight's episode has a reference to an old sci fi show.
The sci fi show that was mentioned was Sapphire & Steel.
Showing on ABC2 it appropriately came after Torchwood: Small Worlds as that Torchwood episode was written by Sapphire & Steel creator Peter J Hammond.

Very funny when George said "Who wants some of my chair".
Yippee Annie finally gets her revenge on Owen
Oh my what a cliffhanger.

Some Doctor Who-related facts about this episode's writer and director:
This episode was written by series creator Toby Whithouse and directed by Colin Teague. Whithouse had written the Doctor Who episode School Reunion which introduced Sarah Jane Smith to new viewers of Doctor Who. This eventually led to The Sarah Jane Adventures in which the first episode Invasion of the Bane was directed by Teague.

Despite having helped to introduced Sarah Jane to new Doctor Who viewers, Whithouse has not yet written for SJA. Colin Teague however has directed a pre-Being Human Toby Whithouse episode, the Torchwood episode Greeks Bearing Gifts.
