• Hello and welcome to MSFC. We are a small and close knitted community who specialises in modding the game Star Trek Armada 2 and the Fleet Operations modification, however we have an open field for discussing a number of topics including movies, real life events and everything in-between.

Being such a close community, we do have some restrictions, including all users required to be registered before being able to post as well as all members requiring to have participated in the community for sometime before being able to download our modding files to name the main ones. This is done for both the protection of our members and to encourage new members to get involved with the community. We also require all new registrations to first be authorised by an Administrator and to also have an active and confirmed email account.

We have a policy of fairness and a non harassment environment, with the staff quick to act on the rare occasion of when this policy is breached. Feel free to register and join our community.

Hey there.

Ok i've not been totally dead when it comes to modelling; I've recently started working on my own Babylon 5 models (for my own B5Wars ship database).

These models are slightly above the norm for Armada modding (the Artemis is about 3000 polys - some will be more, some less). So they are blocky, but the weapons turrets take up a LOT of it. (The Nova class's 18 LPA turrets account for more than 50% of the final poly count). But then again, they aren't actually for Armada, so they can be as high or low poly as I want. :p

Anywho, take a look, let me know what you think.

Those look great. So are you working on an animation? Or are you getting into modding another game?

Well it's not for any specific game or anything, though they will probably end up in A2 format for my own uses. But this isn't the primary use I have for them.

What i'm working on is a computerised database of the Babylon 5 Wars board game, with all the ships from all the books i have (plus a load of non-canon online work) all put together. Just for my own use, to see if i can manage it (or just to be able to focus on one thing long enough to actually finish it).

Anywho, for the graphics for this, I decided I wanted to make my own models for it all. So, ta-da, I started work on this. Of course, there are thousands of models to make, but i'm in no rush, no deadlines or anything, lol. Just gives me a reason to show off some work, which is what I'm doing here :)
