Armada 2 AOW Problems

i installed a fresh clean copy of armada 2 right of disk and installed the patch
and then installed AOW 1 2 and 3 i play the game and well the race select screen has all races but metheran instedd thiers 8472 and the venture class and starbase are loading stock textures and models the ship research is loading the stock researc programs andnot useing the apropriate imaged all ship and station build icons are gone and the 1st ship yard you can build is well missing its textures except its regestry and some red square things O.O whats going on here

before i had this mod on i had birth of the federation mod but for some odd reason it was still the stock game even tho the tech trea file was diferent and everything should have been diferent so i deleted the game fully and did the reinstall

its like time has reverted to when i couldnt install mods proporly O.O

please someone help AOW is my favoret mod and i realy whant to play it

the "Red Square things" i think your referring to is the "Spiderbox" the Engines basic model that is used when an SOD is missing. this is usually caused by an SOD file named differently than an ODF file. as for the Textures. the files are probably in the wrong place. or also named incorrectly.

as for everything else. you guess is as good as mine. i hope i was some help.

its not a spider its a part of the texture like the lights or summin
i have absilout 0% modding abilitys with A2 i hope sm1 can help

Sounds to me like you are using Windows Vista. I had almost exactly the same problems, with (funnily enough) the same mods.

What I had to do was go into the file properties for my armada folder and play around with the permission settings.

I've found that each time I do a clean instal, my systems default settings do not allow me to use any new files I instal (even logged on as an administrator).
The files will be all in the right places, but the system will still load stock game material instead if I dont have the correct permissions ticked.

wow lol i am useing vista well in a min Windows 7 beta
so i just tick some permition things then?
erm where? lol im not a technical person god knows how i can mod galciv2 when i clnt even get my head aroun these things rofl

This will also explain the Birth of the federation mod for A2 prob i was haveing lol
